In life as in dance Grace glides on blistered feet
Thanks for that Nordie - I have always wondered why in your vids every other bugger seems to fall off and you glide effortlessly through all types of gnarly shite - good to see a wee pine sapling finally got the better of you![]()

I must admit the Shinko 705's probably weren't the best choice for that hill.
I was zig-zagging up the hill and having a go at those tight wheelie turns they do at romani-berg and that little twig before the sapling stalled the engine.
Looking back, my weight balance was all wrong, I was leaning on the inside of the turn as you would normally but that was not a normal turn. Even if I hadn't stalled, I don't think i would have made it.
I'm smooth, slow and gentle on the throttle.
Which is not ideal for racing but sweet for adventure riding![]()
I recognise the top of that shadow profile... you gone GoProHD !
You liking it?
Still loving mine... not like that, I know how you think

Good clarity and colour, copes with movement well, exposure changes don't faze it, nice flare shape from the open iris, mounts are solid, battery life is good (mo betterer with the BacPac), parts are cheap.
Wind noise is terrible above 40kph, lots of curvature at the outside 3rds, no zoom, can't hear the beeps with earplugs in, gotta keep remembering to wipe the lens free of dust etc.
I think it's a keeper
3Gb/hr @ 720p 25fps means that with the battery BacPac, I'll get 5 hrs of footage and batteryage on a 16gb card.
The footage that I didn't like from it on youtube was usually too low and created a really distorted horizon. The Maunga ride wasn't that bad but I tipped it slightly forward for the Hori Bay bit and was enough to stuff it up but also enough to put the peak in the shot as well as a bit of the screen for interest...
Peeteey and I are running R3 mode, the 720P @ 50fps.
The picture is a little sharper and does good still and slow mo.
I get about 2 hours 20 minutes then change battery and 16gig card at the same time.
I'm now packing a small JVC 720p SDHC card video recorder for those moments when I want to be able to zoom across the river.

Had a job in Tapawera today so came back via Sunday Creek, Dovdale Hill, Pig Valley and the Wairoa Gorge.
Would have been good footage if not for the condensation inside the case lens.
Ah yes, there are reusable anti fog inserts you need to get if you suffer fogging of the go pro case.
They work fairly well from what I'm told.
I borrowed some on the Lees Valley ride and they helped. Haven't needed them since though. Got through Oxfords Icey Trail ride and last weekends CCC loop without fogging and without inserts.
Padmei did indeed add that little extra to the last videos from Nordie. Made me laugh a couple of times... in sympathy of course.![]()

Got some anti-foggers on the way.
Mainly occurs when shooting into the sun for long enough to heat up the front of the lens.
Was chronic on my SDR-SW20. Which I'll have to sell now. 640x480 just doesn't cut it any more...
