Life sucks at time Mr Ed - often for people like you that don't deserve it.
But think on this: There's hundred of people lying in a cemetery that would love to swap places with you and your broken arse in the blink of an eye.![]()
You're still alive, enjoy life whatever way you can.
Winding up drongos, foil hat wearers and over sensitive KBers for over 14,000 posts...........![]()

Sorry to hear the sad news,at least your pride and joy has found a new home!
Maybe one day you will be able to ride again!![]()
You're not wrong my friend! Each day is a precious day and I am eternally grateful to be alive and able to grizzle about my misfortunes! My father had a saying, "I cried 'cause I had no shoes, then I saw a man who had no feet.." I can walk and talk, hug my wife and kids and grandkids, (well it'll be plural when number two comes along in January), I am very lucky and I know it!
We live in hope mate! Meantime, I'm getting the very best out of life I can!

at this sad time Ed.
The end of an era I'm sure. Enjoy the cages youve got but I know (now for a fact) that there will be little, if anything, that can beat the absolute pleasure of cruising on a C50T.
Cheers
Mark
Its sad cause its true now....
And the lucky bastard who has adopted the mighty C50T is getting a fine example of its type!!
Build yourself a kit car and tour the country!! (something a little out of left field with a big bike engine?) throaty V twin car
Is there still to much risk to your back with a three wheeler?

Got the MX5, mate, spent enough on the Kizashi anyway. My back is rather delicate now, so I have to pull my head in and listen to the Docs and my surgeon. I'm genuinely concerned about my mobility now, I was a bit blase' about it until my last appointment with the ACC doc. He told me off and was quite blunt about my situation...![]()

Keep up with the Physio and get as strong as I can to protect my back. I fell over recently, see my thread, "The fall guy takes another.."I was shocked at how weak I am, still, and I'm on a diet to lose a bit more weight around the middle.
I'm working hard at my business which is looking up so that keeps me occupied. My eldest daughter is expecting our second Grandchild in Jan and our youngest is "almost pregnant", LOL!!!
I'm really enjoying spending time with the family and we're doing a lot together these days. We've always been a close family, including extended family, but nothing acts as well as a near-death and serious accident to give everyone a fresh look at life and relationships, eh?
Now that we've got a car I can drive we plan on getting around a lot! I've been pretty much house-bound for 18mths!
My Mother-in-law is in Waikato Hosp. having just had a pacemaker fitted so we've been down the last two weekends to support her and my wife's family, and the crisis has drawn us all closer together, as such tend to do. So while I may not be able to ride, I'm not going to have the time to cry over it much..

Condolences Edbear.
That is a sad way to have give up riding. But, as Scumdog said, there are worse ways to end your riding days.
Cheer up and all the best Edbear with the back recovery. Remember you can still talk bike crap on here.
