+1.
Shit is starting to fall apart all over the world now. Ever more frequent behavior like this is just part of the artificial, unsustainable game we're playing. I laugh at those with their head in the sand in denial- the joke is indeed on you in the end. We've been living on borrowed time for a long while now.
What can you expect though when people are growing up with no respect for life but instead only for fucking ipods and brand status.
...Full throttle till you see god, then brake.
What's to blame - Youth unemployment? Smartphone/Blackberry communications? Muzzled police control measures? Immigrant influences? PC attitude to 'offending' minority groups? Social discontent? Organised civil disruption? Opportunistic crime?
Or all of the above and more? And from the OH who is an Essex girl originally, "The pot has been bubbling for a long time"![]()
What we are seeing here I think is also a reflection of the untold damage done by you baby-boomers. Thanks to you selfish lot we now face a declining standard of living- we have to work long hours in shitty jobs and have fuck all chance of ever owning a house as wage stagnation is the name of game now. Getting married and having kids just means you both have to work from 6 til 6 while kids are in kindy.
Is it really a surprise us youth are all out binge drinking and looting like this? Anyone who says it's the same shit and we've seen it all before needs to get their head checked.
...Full throttle till you see god, then brake.
FFS. Replace BBC with "media with information provided by the Met" then.

" Life is not a rehearsal, it's as happy or miserable as you want to make it"
I think it has been pointed out previously that each successive generation has encouraged declining standards and behaviour - it's not the fault of youth or us baby boomers exclusively.
Each successive generation of parents wants to indulge their offspring (regardless of whether they know it's not particularly healthy or not) and in turn each generation - younger, simply by virtue of being the next generation - gets softer, more demanding and more self-centred.
Obviously that's a generalisation and there will always be those who swim against the tide and become the ones who do wonderful humanitarian works, or discover something beneficial to mankind, or who are just kind, decent caring human beings.
What rips my nightie is the fact that these situations attract friggen hooligans who see it as an opportunistic moment in time to unleash their antisocial behaviour in a way which is difficult to control because of the sheer scale of it.
