Better chance of getting a job here in Auckland then in a town of 18,000 though lol

Not much one can do really.
Forget the slopes and the pakis, the problem we have in NZ if you want to take a racist stance is the fucken whinging shitstirring english that we let in. They may look the same as us but they are still foreign.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

short answer: Dont. its the wrong thing to do.
Must say I had the same thoughts overnight. Soldiers are trained to kill and do it well. As they should. Holding back being nice guys while some prick throws Molotov cocktails and bricks at you just isn't natural for any soldier. I'd shoot. Probably regret it, but that's the instinct from 16,000km away.

They use the L85A2 which is a nice assault rifle. Short on range but so is the M16 and this is all local firezone so it would be fine.

Edit: just watching Yngwie Malmsteen playing Voodoo Chile so my views may be enhanced...

And why would you want to take a racist stance?

They should swap out these homegrown spoilt western brats for hard working immigrants, send them to some genuine shit holes where they will feel at home
Absolutely bang on. They have it hard. So fucking what?

Every TV camera in the UK should have a sniper rifle attachment and these twats should be taken out. At the very least they should kneecap every fucker with a mask on. They are using oxygen that the rest of us need.

I can't see this kind of thing happening in NZ, basically because of the gun laws. People here would be able to protect their property a bit better than some scared immigrants with no Police back up.

Well if you want to be racist look at this way. If you hadn't let them in you'd be listening to the news on the bongo drums.

Nope, I don't think anyone here is defending their actions, they're just trying to figure out why this is happening....repeatedly. Unless someone starts to look at the root causes you might as well start putting a bit aside each week as you wait for the next outbreak.

To look at it another way: could the same thing happen in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch? Or Sydney, Melbourne or Perth? I don't think so, and not because they are that much smaller, but because the culture is different. So you have to ask: why is the culture is so fucked over there and not here? London is supposedly one of the world's "pin-up" cities in a supposedly egalitarian society. So WHY are these riots occurring?

Whatever way you look at it: yobs and thugs or a genuinely frustrated underclass SOME COMBINATION OF THINGS has created the situation. Either put things in place to stop creating yobs and thugs or reduce the frustration. Stamping out the current unrest and doing nothing else is treating the symptom, not the disease.

I mean, if you had repeated major breakdowns with your bike, say it kept holing pistons, you'd do more than just keep replacing pistons would you? You'd be investigating all sorts of things: piston manufacture, air/fuel ratio, ignition timing, fuel quality etc etc. All the people who think just shooting the yobs and going back to normal business are effectively advocating just keep changing the piston, there is no other problem. Surely looking at why the piston keeps failing is the better option?

Yup I would say thats true, I was born and bred in east london , squatted in most north london housing estates , and unless you have been there and seen the inter generational ..fked-up-ness,
about 20 % are feral , as in feral ... cant read , write , and the ONLY interview they will ever get is from a nice man in a blue suit.
    They just don't care ,

This ( as I have said till I'm blue in the face ),is a result of American style economics , .

and the book I quoted , " five families a Mexican case study " its all there

The I don't care attitude , probably is in NZ already, but the day they actually get of their arses , I am running down the TAB to put ten dollars each way , on snowflake in Hell.

But what if the manufacturer of the pistons just kept making shite products which was the reason for failure and they weren't interested in improving the product ?

You'd arsehole that particular brand of piston wouldn't you?

Bad news, the rioting has spread to Ireland.

Poor Paddy has just smashed his laptop screen after trying to loot ebay!

There was some quite good commentary on close up last night.

Some tosser ex social worker from the area who was a fuckin knob end and had no real insite other than saying it all started when this guy was shot and there needs to be answers about that... (I'd say it had fuck all to do with that and the guy was a baddie with a gun ffs, what was he expecting?)

Then a kiwi sociologist / scientist chick who spent years studying this shit all over europe. One factor is the density of youth in these areas. Sooo many angry young men and nothing else.
