Wow weird huh, maybe some magical forces pulled the stitchin off in the night
another thing thats weird is there is only one row of stitching on the velcro when we use two.
Not to mention the weirdness of you happening to have some pics at the ready of your mates apparent Qmoto gear.

As I say tho, we usually get notified of any issues, thats because we are probably the most accessible retailer in this game in NZ, and with this in mind we fix what we fuck up, if we ever do that is, that offer goes out to the mystery freind also so let him know ok, tho im going to charge him for the fix as he shouldnt have left it so long eh ! did the whole slider velcro fall of on one day did it ?

PS, I have been wearing crashing and modifying this stuff since 2004 and that hasn't happened to any of my gear, however I tend to look after it.
Ive run out of fucks to give

    .
I didnt have the pics at the ready, if you go back to the very start of the thread, youll notice in my first post that he was over here at the time, having been out riding. I took the photos after the start of the thread. Would you like more detailed photos to prove it? I can flick him a message and get more if you really want.

Funny how your sarcasm seems to distance yourself from responsibility for the failings of your product.
funny how much you love facts except when those facts are proof of a shortcoming in your product.

Or your product has a weakness, shock, horror, scandal!!!another thing thats weird is there is only one row of stitching on the velcro when we use two.
well that photo is a pair of YOUR estremos, less than a year old, so you tell me.

go reread the threadAs I say tho, we usually get notified of any issues, thats because we are probably the most accessible retailer in this game in NZ, and with this in mind we fix what we fuck up, if we ever do that is, that offer goes out to the mystery freind also so let him know ok, tho im going to charge him for the fix as he shouldnt have left it so long eh ! did the whole slider velcro fall of on one day did it ?
Again, read the thread again, he uses these daily for commuting, he doesnt want to be without them for a week to ten days while theyre are sent back and forth to be repaired, that aside, because he has never used the sliders, it isnt a big problem that they started to come adrift, so he left it. Im simply pointing out that your product is not perfectPS, I have been wearing crashing and modifying this stuff since 2004 and that hasn't happened to any of my gear, however I tend to look after it. - Oh I get it, you're perfect, your gear could never be at fault, no, youre perfect, we're all just rough cunts eh?

its been said before and its still very true - "You get what you pay for"

In the case of 1tonne and Qmoto, you pay pretty similar money and pretty much will get very similar stuff.

mystery fucking solved, i don't give a flying fuck about the sliders.. that's not why i bought the pants.. they were the only model with that type of armour that was in your range at the time.. having recently crashed that was kind of important to me.

from the frayed apperance of the velcro flap i suggest you look into the idea that is employed in ripstop nylon

I'm in Welly and have just started getting into bikes. I got started with a motorbike jacket that is just plain old (30 years old!), but has been great for low-speed practice. It's well built and has been very cared for. I've got a helmet, boots and gloves as well, no worries, just missing the pants so far. Been wearing thermals and 2 pairs of jeans, but I know that's not enough.

So i'm now looking at getting some decent starting leather protection for my top and legs. I''ve been looking at a first set of 2-piece leathers for the road, not the track (obviously). Mostly commuting and eventually getting out of town for a trip or 3. I don't have a huge budget (I'd like to keep it under $700, ideally...) so I've tried to shave off some coin by looking online and have narrowed it down to these two 1Tonne and Qmoto 2-piece suits:

    1Tonne's 2-piece Panther Suit:
    http://www.1tonne.co.nz/index.php?pa...=&categoryid=4

and Qmoto's Black Rock (under their QStreet line) 2-piece suit:
    Jacket:
    http://www.qmoto.co.nz/gear-shop/qmo...&category_id=7
    and Pants:
    http://www.qmoto.co.nz/gear-shop/qmo...&category_id=8

But I'm torn over which one will be better for me, or which is the better value, or which features are really worth having. Can you guys please give me some advice?

    1Tonne
    Pros
    Lower price by about $35
    Has some hip padding
    Cons
No hard armor on the shins
Unknown leather thickness (just states "Grade A+")
Are the foam protectors those two strips on the back? Is he wearing armor under?
What does 'multiple stitching' mean? Where is it stitched and how many times there?

    Qmoto
    Pros
    Tripple Nylon Stitching
    Padding on sides of arms
    Padding on lower neck/upper shoulder
    Hard armor on shins
Reflective piping (I do plan on night riding some)
    Collar looks comfy
    Cons
Doesn't look to have any tailbone padding
Not specified what armor is in the back of jacket (but did note two strips of additional padding)
    No hip padding?

As far as I can tell, both have had great feedback and happy customers.
I won't be using the knee sliders, of course. Not that kind of rider, and I hear 1Tonne's wear out in one day anyway.

    Can anyone vouch for comfort/fit?
How they hold up in a crash/multiple crashes? (I'm under the slight impression that Qmoto's stuff holds up a little better in a crash, most likely from the stitching.)

I'm ever, ever so slightly leaning towards Qmoto's suit at the moment, but I'm really tight on $ at the moment, and at the same time want good protection from a decent pair of leathers.

    Help?
Whatever you get make sure you get a FULL zip sewn in to join pants and jacket, handy this time of year and if you have a wee fall your jacket wont ride up and expose your back (skin) to the ground, dont settle for a short (usually 8 to 10inches) zip.

Was online window shopping yesterday and I do like the look of this one, double breasted is important to me as i do feel the cold on the chest a bit !

And By god it's endorsed by a TT racer

    http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-398957689.htm
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
