Have to agree with ya Pete. The atmosphere and day were great with everybody mucking in and making it a success. Got my first chance to work with the marshalling/official crew and that was very enjoyable too. Great bunch of people.

Yes the John & Johnny show was certainly " hard stuff" if that had been done too or around a junior rider i would have had something to say. However as the riders immeadiately around them were yourself and others who would have given him a nudge back........ (did see you shaking your head though)
Exciting as it is too watch from a spectator point of view......... not really good habits to show the youngsters in training. However you should have seen the determination from young Glen Agate trying to get into that lead bunch and take part.

+1 The junior program is sure paying us back now with some AWESOME talent........ you should be very proud Pete.

Yeah Billy, we're used to the experts telling us it's all wrong. My boss had a sign on the design office door that said.

Yes Pete thanks for the advice and MCI support. Jackson will be at round 1 of KOR and round 3 of KOL on a lowered Aprillia RS50.......Stoked the club has all the safety gear needed in his midget size, buggared if I want to be shelling out for leathers and boots for the speed the little shit grows, he would be in new gear every 6 months.

Oh and whoever binned on the second lap of the second S/S race to allow me back to the pits to carry out repairs and get to the restart....cheers!

oh crap did I type that out loud
Yes, as far as crashing goes I rather bin at a nice quiet club meet at the back part of the circuit.....I can only think how imbarrasing it would be sliding across the start finish line on my ass in front of 100's!

I think he may have confused MX with BMX or other forms of cycling...Top level MX riders are far higher skilled than most club 600 and superbike riders. Streetstcock wouldn't be fun for them....

Oh I see what you were replying to. Billy was just going off half cocked getting himself confused and missing the point.

Haha, you crazy young kids.......folks mention a slightly different avenue that might be worth exploring and the dummy is spat in the dirt, and the bike is hurled into the bushes. Sheesh, so much sensitivity! Who knew the youth of today were so fragile? Point taken, we'll try to be a lil' more PC next time lest we crush your inner caterpillar before it has a chance to transform into a beautiful butterfly.

Our apologies, times have obviously changed, we've failed to adapt and we'll do our absolute best to modify our rough behaviour in the future. If you feel a lil' intimidated confronting the issue head on then maybe we can come up with a "safe" word....you know, like "fire truck" or something? As soon as you feel a lil' uncomfortable just say the word(s) and we'll know we've gone too far and back off. No, there's no pressure to answer right now, and feel free to run the idea past your therapist. In the meantime just remember: fire truck....ok?

For those with a humour-ectomy: the above is a pisstake. You guys do an awesome job, but holy snappin' duckshit are you sensitive, lol. Folks aren't having a go at you, they're just trying to help and thinking of other things that would help boost the sport. There is no replacing what you are doing, it's not a "one way or the other" situation it's just something else worth exploring that could run in parallel with your efforts. But if all else fails just remember: fire truck......

Bloody hell, if anybody enjoys bashing bars it's the MX kids, lol. But I think this is the sort of possibility Choppa (and others) had in mind:

    http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2011/Aug/110819gaga.htm

American Jake Gagne To Race Moto2 at Indy

".....A former motocross and supermoto amateur champion, Gagne decided to switch to the pavement in 2008 after being selected for the Red Bull AMA US Rookies Cup. He fought for the win at Road America in just his third road race. He won two events that year (Road Atlanta and Indy) and took third place at the all-star race in Valencia, Spain, against an international field......."

It's great the way youngsters are already brought into the sport, especially down South, but as with everything one size doesn't necessarily suit everyone. Us big kids don't all like the same bike's and racing format's so why would younger kids be any different? I just don't see the big deal, it's only throwing around a few idea's, yet you'd think someone had shat on the kitchen table the way noses are outta joint. Everyones got the same sort of goal in mind, no-ones trying to sabotage anything.
