Sheesh, so much sensitivity! Who knew the youth of today were so fragile? Point taken, we'll try to be a lil' more PC next time lest we crush your inner caterpillar before it has a chance to transform into a beautiful butterfly.

Our apologies, times have obviously changed, we've failed to adapt and we'll do our absolute best to modify our rough behaviour in the future. If you feel a lil' intimidated confronting the issue head on then maybe we can come up with a "safe" word....you know, like "fire truck" or something? As soon as you feel a lil' uncomfortable just say the word(s) and we'll know we've gone too far and back off. No, there's no pressure to answer right now, and feel free to run the idea past your therapist. In the meantime just remember: fire truck....ok?

For those with a humour-ectomy: the above is a pisstake. You guys do an awesome job, but holy snappin' duckshit are you sensitive, lol. Folks aren't having a go at you, they're just trying to help and thinking of other things that would help boost the sport. There is no replacing what you are doing, it's not a "one way or the other" situation it's just something else worth exploring that could run in parallel with your efforts. But if all else fails just remember: fire truck......
Get "Firetrucked" yourself "ginga",Its all stated very tongue in cheek,I'm sure you can see how laughable it is that you experts are trying to reinvent the wheel that the South Island guys have spinning at a million Ks an hour,What say some of these experts up here put their ego's away and stop trying to be the great "I am" and actually listen to what Oyster and Swerve have to say and try it,Until then the North Island scene is doomed to stay as it is,To be honest,The biggest movers in the North Island are Hyosung NZ,But as Im sure Pete will be only to happy to point out,Its not a patch on the South islanders efforts and its not targeting the right age group.

In the meantime I'll keep repeating "Firetruck" to myself,But its just not ringing any bells for me,Im thinking ambulance would be more appropriate here,You know the one Im talking about,Its parked at the bottom of the cliff !!!

Hahaha!Im going off half cocked???Have a word too yourself mate,Your statement surrounded "JUNIOR" roadracing not National level motorcross riders in general.

Im missing the point???Have you not noticed that the bulk of the up and coming talent in NZ roadracing is coming out of the South Island streetstock scene,Tell you what mate,Why dont you put your money where your mouth is and import a bunch of metrakit 125s and show us how its done,Convert the junior motorcross guys over to riding them,Good luck with that.

On a more positive note,Sold my RG to a 13yr old junior motorcross rider from AKLD last weekend and he loves it,Best bike hes ever owned were his exact words,Go figure aye!!!

Simply put,If you dont like streestock,Dont watch it,I dont bother watching the 10 or so Superbikes following Stroudy around for the same reason,It only gets interesting when it rains or the Aussies come over.

Show me where I said I didnt like street stock? If you dont like supporting superbike then im sure your goal of grooming riders to be great streetstock racers will be great.

I even talked a guy into riding one of your bikes this year because it was a good option for a rider of his caliber.

There is no riders coming through from streetstock that have any chance at a moto 3 title.

Jamie Rajek is doing a bloody good thing with some young guys and in particular Cohen Chase. He is a 13 year old champion MX rider. In his own words he didnt want to ride the street stock because its a piece of shit instead opting for a 125gp bike. I have been helping him today while Jamie was busy with Avalon and that kid is very impressive in only his first ride.

He would smoke every street stock rider already and he is only just 13.

Most other people on here can see my point (thanks spud) I have never said street stock doesnt have its place. All im saying is that MX riders dont want to start there and those are the riders that are future champs because they have alread had 10 years experience.

I have been racing for 3 years, prob less time then most of these "up & coming" riders. I just needed to start road racing when I was 16

Great streetstock riders will probably be great Superbike riders one day, you only have to look at the guys from the South to see how it works

I would doubt that very much, in fact I'd put $100 on it that he wouldn't even get close

IM NOT TALKING ABOUT GREAT NZSBK RIDERS. IM TALKING ABOUT WHO COULD POTENTIALLY BE MOTO GP RIDERS. When a street stock rider does that ill eat my words. MX and Dirt Track riders are already there

What bike do you propose instead of streetstock then?

I know it's tongue in cheek ya lil' fire trucker, if it wasn't I woulda moved on a long time ago........much as you prolly wish I would, haha.

Nah, I can see how you guys would get frustrated with all the ideas from the sidelines. At the end of the day you guys are on the ground putting in the hard yards so there's no criticism of that coming from me.....and the idea of me being an expert at anything is fuckin hilarious.

I was down South a coupla years ago and saw some youngsters very early track lessons after the Ruapuna NZSBK round. It was a very cool thing to see Andrew Stroud, not long after blowing everyone away in the 2nd superbike race, sprinting for his camera to get some footage of young Jake's first time on a proper track. I don't think it was lost on anyone that we were seeing the future champions following the current champions. Maybe that's why I have such good memories of Ruapuna: the family atmosphere made a big impression on me.

But back to Choppa's suggestion observation, he wants exactly the same as you do....as everyone does really. But he revolves in slightly different (dirtier) circles and hears different things. In my modest opinion I reckon it's a good thing that we get to hear and discuss it, it's a lot more constructive than arguing the merits of various cake recipes as in other threads....not that there's anything wrong with that.

But again, kudos to the guys and girls on the ground helping out the youngsters, I just wish I had enough time to do the same, but my fucked up work arrangements mean I can't even sort my own shit out, let alone someone elses....and god forbid they be at an impressionable age when they're hangin' around me, lol. Until I get a "real" job and until I get some decent time at home I can only encourage from the sidelines (cue the image of a hairy ginga in a cheerleaders uniform). It mightn't come across too well, and be totally unwelcome and distracting for someone in the trenches but it's all well meaning. Kinda like yelling advice at the footy, we could be spot on or we could well wide of the mark, but we're all 100% behind you.

Now c'mere and give us a hug ya lil' cutie: you haven't had real luvvin' 'til you've had some ginga luvvin!
