    Pillion floorboards?

A Q to all owners of Suzuki cruisers, who has floor boards for their pillions, instead of the pegs, plus what make are they ..Also do your pillions enjoy riding with them, plus do they give you a bit more room rather than the pegs?

Have been onto Suzuki dealers the price to fit the Boulevard genuine suzuki part is $584.84, was wondering if there are generic copies around which would fit the same bikes, maybe a mite cheeper ...Cheers

    On my list too.

Floorboards gotta be better than pegs.

Custom crusiers do have a better deal than the local lot.

Good thing is the NZ Dollar is gaining against the US dollar too.

My pillion loves the boards - says they're much better than pegs - less damaging to the feet apparently. As for the riders boards, like riding with your feet flat on the floor and less of a fright when you scrape the pin underneath going around corners.

This is a very old thread that I've dug up.

I am looking for passenger floorboards for an 05' C50T Boulevard.

$300 ex USA doesn't fit my budget.

Does anyone know of a NZ source at a 'less painfull' price?

Yep, I had some fitted to my Suzuki M90 just recently and my wife is so much happier
and they look really good .
If you give Alistair at Colemans a call 09 - 3031786 and ask him about the ones they fitted to John Ross's bike just recently I'm sure you will be happy with them and the price .I had to wait a couple of weeks for them to come from the US ,not sure but I think he sourced them from Cruisercustomising.

It took me 1 min or less to find a number of floor boards that would fit.

Thank you. It took me a very short time to find the same sites and many more.

Unfortunately, these sites will still set me back $300 ex USA.

I find that hard to believe, given I've bought a set of forward controls from USA that cost $498 including postage. That included brackets, pegs, peg adapters, shift linkages, brake linkage - considerably more than just a set of floorboards.

    CruiserCustomizing.com US$242.99 = NZ$291.35 + freight (free shipping shown is US only)

    BigBikeParts.com US$269.99 = NZ$323.73 + freight

    JPCycles.com US$206.99 = $NZ248.19 + mounts + freight

trademe.co.nz - I have many different automatic daily notifications using a range of possible keywords. Nothing has come up in the last 18 months.

I would love to be contradicted, I have my credit card at the ready.

Then pick some not as expensive, or get creative and make some?

You could get some cheap $20 pegs that fit, chop the bracket and weld to some custom made floorboards.

I had the same thought today so tonight I have made a prototype using mild steel.

The next step is to draw them on CAD, laser cut some stainless steel and tig weld it together.

Hopefull they'll look as good as the genuine article.
