As usual, the scintillating rapier wit that passes among the denizens of this locality, leaves me flabbergasted in the face of such precociousness!

Any advice how to shine it up? The panels look fine but the machinery can look better.

I'm guessing a bottle of kero, a toothbrush, a hose and a whole lot of time

Oh also, I tried my hand at plastic welding. I'm pretty happy with the results (should have taken before images, but the places welded were completely cracked right through.)

(and apologies for the focus; my phone's camera seems to like focusing on the deck)

I think your welding is a smidgen better than your camera work.

That looks pretty good for a first attempt - my first (metal) welding looked much worse!

If there's a ride tonight, I'm going to have to pumpkin early - I'm having dinner with my sister tonight at 1930. I suggested she might like to come on the ride, but that got me a dirty look and mumblings about 'unsafe' and 'accident'. I shook my head and rolled my eyes and left it at that...

Righto, get some Autosol from Repco/Supercheap, plenty of rags and elbow grease! If you have a buffing machine use that. The kerosene/toothbrush is a great combo for the road grease and muck.

Autosol brings all metal parts like a new penny. For your painted surfaces, use a good product range (I use Meguiar's 3 step wax and polish).

Keep a good detailing product spray to keep it all sparkly!
