I still often get asked where is Don from Pitlane, AKA the old chch cycletreads.
Pitlane is now setup and in full swing in 15 south terrace darfield.
Don't expect him back in town any time soon or possibly at all. So enjoy the short open road ride to get the same service Pitlane has always given

Bonus he is open Sat & Sun so it's only a short ride to kill that tyre and get a new one. Pays to phone a few days first to see if he has your preferred black rubber in stock so he can get it in if necessary.

Correct - and I've got a local shop now - bonus.
Kick - the premises were Cochranes spares dept - not the workshop. Don's attitude is rubbing off on the locals - more are opening on the weekends now as they see there is money to be made from the ChCh refugees....

Out there today, 4yr old co pilot in passenger seat and set of rims in the back.
Had a mate turn up at home after getting his bike back from a service . showed me 2 quotes he had from local dealers, I just about choked,
Took some convincing , but rung pitlane , stripped rims off , and a short drive saved $200

I'll be popping out there for some rear rubber before the next WOF is due.
