Would love 1 also if poss. Lost sump plug during a Epic Ride off Taupo Rd a cple years back. Had just done an oil change & put in sump plug finger tight. Mate arrived 2 do a tyre change, said I need to tighten up sump bolt, he said he will do. He didn't say . . it was already tight. DR 200 x2 14?mm bolts underneath. Wrong 1 got tightened Lucky 200 cut out first !! Couldn't thinking noticing how rattly bike was getting. Getting a few tiny tiny shavings/dust in oil changes. Got off v lucky.

JB weld or epoxy for alloy or stainless.

The magnets are good to hold about 0.7kg of ferrous metal.

I've also seen 175deg at the top oil banjo on the head of the TT and the magnet still holds well.
    These are what I have:

The socket is 11mm deep and the overall length is 15mm so it would be cutting it a bit fine.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

On that, the hole would only need to be deep enough to locate the magnet, then epoxy.

Something I was told in my apprenticeship - never put a drain plug back in unless you tighten it there and then.

Not rare earth magnets- they dont flake and they are 48 times stronger than iron (flakey magnets) when he sends me a magnet it comes wrapped in 6" of corugated carboard to stop it sticking to the courier van www.dangerousmagnets.co.nz

But he also says don't let them click together with force as they could shatter...

That's where I'm getting mine from.
The first ones he had to get in for me special

It gives me the willies just thinking of the force involved in a pair of his bigger magnets coming together...

I make wall crawling robots, to carry instruments up bulk storage tank shells. Transporting one off shore is a bureaucratic nightmare, with supermagnets of that capacity the flyboys insist on up to 1M separation (depending on airline) and that means a 2.5M cube crate to freight something the size of a shoebox.
