If you can find some Alpinestar Tech 3s at a good price, buy them. Great boot, very comfortable, last for ages... annoyingly so, cos I want new boots but my Tech 3s won't wear out.

I recently purcharsed a new pair of Thor's for just over $200. If walking like Oscar Pretorius is an indication of protection, then they fit the bill. No feeling from the knees down.

On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

Can't comment on the quality of those boots, but I've used other Fly gear before and it's generally been pretty good... and at that price, very hard to ignore...

I swapped my No Fear Trophees for 6 weeks in a moon boot. Not happy with the protection they offered, and overall they started coming apart with only normal use.

There's a great old saying. You can have cheap, or good, but not both.

Might be true if you're paying RRP for "this season's" gear, but anyone who pays full retail for the latest gear either has so much money they don't care (bastard) or is making up for not being able to ride by looking good instead (in the carpark at least... see you out on the trails buddy).
