Yep, and it took me fricken forever to make the CCA GPX files, it's a fair bit of effort to put together.
Big respect to Ryan and helpers who do the 1000km Dusty Butt one. The Capitol Coast one was only a few hundred km.

Looking on the bright side for a moment...

I am going on this ride. I will pay my entry fee, and I intend to have fun

I have a nice new mounting point for my routesheet holder that I am keen to try out, and I secretly enjoy drinking beer and talking about motorbikes, while cutting and sellotaping pieces of paper together (remember to sellotape on both sides, otherwise the roll jams ) That said - Clint and I got emailed the routesheets for Pukemanu, and that made things a little easier.

If I didn't spend so much money on booze and men I'd own a GPS by now, but you gotta have priorities

I've already decided on the tyres and oil I'll use for the ride, but I might keep that to myself, in case I start an argument
The road to hell is paved...

If we got electricky route sheets, you could bet there would be some obscure device that would not open said doc. eh!!!!!!

    K.I.S.S. works everytime.

Well im entered and paid! Bike is in the shed waiting!

There is an issue with the payments if you want a tshirt, as you go down the entry dont use the link to go to the secure payment, that link does not give you the option to pay for the tshirt!
If you go right thru the entry and click submit, it takes you to another entry form that can take your payment for the tshirt...

Of course... i find this out AFTER!

SO hopefully the puter thingiemajig has taken my TSHIRT order and i can pay CASH for it on the day????????????????????????????

    I WANNA RIDE

Ohhh better go see if me lil bro wants to come!

Due to the fact that quite a bit of the ride is on private property or places with restricted access, there will be no GPS option.

You guys might want to convert your GPS mounts to Latte Cup holders...

It does when you read it together with an earlier post:

No route sheets, just use my GPS logs of years gone by....
The Publisher doesn't want people using the GPS track after the ride to access the forests.

But can't you re-use route sheets the same way...
    Or record your own track?

Sorry about that - copy and paste fail on my part.

Have included the tee shirts on the drop down menu now.

Best bet would be to Ring Linda at the office on Monday and she'll sort if for you.

Yes, that occurred to me. However it is fairly tricky on a route sheet to find a particular property without riding the whole thing in order.
He also said he didn't see the point in doing a GPS track due the relative compactness of the course. As Eddie said, it's an awful lot of work for a ride of this nature.

Yeah. I created a waypoint set from the routesheet for the original DB1K back in 2007. I put waypoints on and 100m past each routesheet entry. Then you'd be directed to the turning and know which way you were headed once you got there.

But yeah, reverse-engineering a routesheet is a lot of work.
    But fun...

I'd be interested to know what proportion of riders uses the GPS tarck as opposed to a route sheet. I have a GPS on the bike, but still use a route sheet...
