I was just wondering, and I've seen it a bit on trademe, why do people not take down the ad once it's sold?
Why put SOLD on the ad and leave it there?

Because until the funds hit my bank account, I don't want to be stuck with re-listing the bike if the sale falls through
Once I see the deposit, that's when I withdraw the listing
