riding at a spirited pace on the road is a good rush, a calculated gamble of constant changes and adoptions.
I always enjoy the changing scenery, the different corners, the bumps, traffic, and the challenge i guess.
got to leave a bit of room for error, and use your head quite a bit to get it all right.
I'm confused. Is there another way for Gixxers to be ridden?
And while I'm at it, there seems to be a tendency these PC days to label anyone, car or bike, going faster than the rest of the traffic flow to be "racing" Sort like the misuse (abuse more like) of the word 'gay', because a section of society decided to hijack a perfectly harmless word for their own cause.
They were riding faster than they should, they were riding reckless at times. But racing? That implies all out desperation to overtake the other. I didn't see that in the vid.
Edit. Everyone needs to be more gay about this topic
Happiness is a means of travel, not a destination
The moral of the story is, if you're naughty enough to buy a sportbike for the road, ride it like a harley. Not a sportbike. Yeah...
Everyone loves going for a hoon down their favorite roads, but you just HAVE to leave room for error.
As for that crasher cunt, wtf does he know about racing, I saw a video of him wobbling about on a 250 something or other. And only coming second. To some other slow cunt. Pffft.
.
I have ridden with quite a few fast road riders on the track and been quite surprised that they fall behind quite quickly.. Others.... I havent been able to get anywhere close to. Track riding and road riding are 2 completely different mentalities - and really. its piss easy to *look* fast on the road. On the track, you got no where to hide.
I took my ZX9r racing and was happy with my results and learnt ALOT about my bike in the 2 seasons I raced it. Even after I had ridden it on the road for more than 100,000km.
This is pretty much where i started laughing....
this is where the challenge is laid
this is where I go.... Hey mate.... I WILL LOAN YOU MY ZX9R. It is setup for racing and won the clubmans summer series 2010/11. Very quick bike. So deal goes. Get up here to manfield. Challenge Drew on his RF900 with you on my ZX9R and leave your keyboard at home. If you lose you owe me a grand for hireage. (Ill split the winnings with Drew)
Side bets welcome.. This will be epic
Oh how we love kiwibiker!
