Buggers are probably still off riding. We headed out east, found a restaurant GiJoe wanted to take us to, but they seemed unable to take our order correctly, then we gave up on some of the items... Kathy was onto them however, awesome at sorting them out.

From there, she was keen to try out the BMW's pillion seat, and I was keen to lure Mr GiJoe to the dark (or is that blue) side. Verdict came back clear and ringing as we headed out through Maraetai and on to Clevedon. She liked, but the BMW may be far in the future (or maybe that's what he thinks). Wanpo and Toto were invited to sample the persuasive powers of Jessica, not surprisingly jumping at the chance.

Toto headed out, and when in the country, an oncoming car flashed him, presumably to tell him not to be on high beam. When Toto flashed him back (to show that he actually wasn't on high), the car swerved a couple of times (probably wondering what UFO it was) and Toto came back simply declaring he wanted that light setup. If I was their salesman, I reckoned I could have sold several sets this evening.

Unfortunately, work was beckoning, so they've carried on, and I've settled into work which will probably take all night.

I can see why people would want something like that, but it reinforced that it's not for me. The handshields + screens a plenty kept me plenty warm (I didn't close my visor the entire time I was riding it.) And the lights were very handy.

On that note, where did you get the HID bulb? And how are they in comparison to the uprated standard types?

Also I'm surprised she didn't break as soon as I headed off down the road, considering how much she seems to dislike me.

We did appreciate you substituting the horn for the indicator =)

Great ride, long weekend, got home, had a whiskey, slept like a machine.

HID from Xenonrider.com, good quality HID. Brighter than the uprated bulbs, with a much longer more reliable life, but much whiter (and I didn't go for the very white bulb as it produces less actual output). Some don't like the way it lights up the road, preferring conventional bulbs.

Re breaking... excellent, the treatment is working well, and she'll be back to breaking you and your bike shortly

Well, that turned out to be an interesting evening! What with the slowness of service from the stoned waiter! It seems he was operating on some other dimensional plane!

Then the popo with the fruit salad on was another introduction to how this night was going to pan out! When Gremlin left, we did the ride out to Kaiaua, seems there were some moments - the coastal road to Kaiaua featuring predominantly! Good thing I stopped at the toilets there so some riders could get some relief!

Ride back was pretty good, made sure there were plenty of downhill lefthanders for Wanpo!

As for the beemer, it seems my girl is very appreciative of the pillion qualities of it - she did however, mention that if we did have one, we'd definitely need a belt to tie her to me when she falls asleep at the back!

Well, as for the nightowl, we'll be giving it a wide berth after that! Completely the opposite of what Kathy and I got a few days before hand!

Good ride peeps, glad to hear everyone kept it rubber side down!

Hmm, I knew about the cost, but seems like a lot of trouble installing when they're not actually legal. Do you swap it out when you get your warrant done?

Also what was that black reflective vinyl place?

Haven't been through a WOF with it yet. Next is early next year. If they get annoyed with it, yes, I'll remove.

Computaleta (http://www.computaleta.co.nz/) is the vinyl place.

It's amazing how many people can get annoyed with Gremlin! Funny to hear how he is being plagued by the sort of things he inflicts on others! (though the lekky problems is probably to be expected!)

    I forgot yesterday was Monday

Anyway if Justin hasn't told you already, apparently I don't ride enough so he has told me we are to ride to where my childhood beach house was, Kawhia! I'm sure he'd let you all come with. It will most likely be a medium paced ride since all I've done in the last year is commuting. You should see my chicken strips, I don't think I even remember how to corner anymore!

It's this Saturday, leaving about 9.30ish? I don't know. I'm assuming Justin is still planning to make me do this ride :P I'm keen to see if the Fish'n'Chips shop is still as good as it was when I was 12, and if Street Fighter 2 Super Hyper Fighting is still there.

    Saturday ride to Kawhia!

The Kawhia ride is a goer, sensible meet up time at 9.30am BP Takanini. We'll take SH22 down and out to Ngaruawahia to head off towards Kawhia. It has a bonza fish n'chip shop there (and not a heck of a lot else!)
