    Trademe moved my Scorpio SX4

Trademe sent me an email, about the Yamaha Scorpio SX4 (225cc Single) i had listed under Motorcycles/other.
Telling me it had been moved to Motorcycles/Sports . And that if i listed in wrong section again, i could lose my membership.

So if you were to compare a Yamaha Scorpio SX4, to a "Sports" Car...which one would it be? Lol.

You could have chosen 'Any Style'...theres 20 listed in there..http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Cate...ch_suggested=0

And only five (well four if you remove the R1) listed under 'Sports'...http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Cate...ch_suggested=0

Does that mean all road bikes [which is what I think the Scorpio is] should be in the Others category? Even though it's got 'Sports' styling?

I'd like to know for in case I sell off my Scorpio.... It's certainly not a Cruiser or Tourer [I think].

My first thoughts almost exactly!A Great Value Commuter. So if we have cars and sports cars.

I was trying to think of a comparable car to suggest to them,as an example (But of course you can`t reply to the email)(Which may have been a good thing :-) )

Had a similar problem knowing where to look when I was in the market for my Bandit. Not a 'Cruiser', you would have to be optimistic to call it a 'Sports' bike and you wouldn't really define it as a 'Tourer'.

They [TM] really should start a category called Road or Street Bikes...

'Commuter' sounds wrong because any bike can be a commuter bike.

I wouldn't necessary complain. This theoreticaly makes it the FASTEST road going Scorpio in New Zealand.
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

Funny, one's even listed as a dual purpose?? Wonder what 2 purposes they have in mind!
It's like the GN's, most seem to be listed as tourers, many more as cruisers & 1 as dual purpose. A very versatile bike

There does seem to be a glaring omission in the categories for just plain old 'road' bikes. I had the same problem selling my last bike, not really sports, not really a tourer and not old enough to be vintage/classic.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987
