l,v been told as long as you keep the piston at the same weight or less it should be fine but l would like to lighten the crank on one moter. l also have a rvf 400 motor. just want to work out what works good before l touch that

I made all the crash bungs on this here bucket. Uses 10mm 4140 as the engine mount studs, I left the threads on the ends of the studs 20mm longer so I can just screw crash bungs straight on the end. Simple as and looks pucka.
I know you are miles away but come and race the thing again, the competition is pretty fantastic at the moment. Quite a spectacle.

Ended up taking the motor down the friendly folk at Motomart in Lower Hutt, they popped it off in about 30 seconds, offered advice about replacing various bearings while it was apart and didn't charge me

Will have to buy them a beer when I see them at the pub next

Dude I have been keen as a bean for whatever meetings are going down, but the man who is currently baby sitting my bike has a bad habit of voicing good intentions about heading out, then changing his mind without telling me until I get to welly..

And the worst thing is I don't have anything 4 wheel based to move the thing around though I may look into that next year..

I'm so keen to get on it and hone out some B grade ass.

Also I am looking at racerizing my vfr a little.

Giving the front brakes a complete make over currently. Also if any of you cunts have a spare nc30 rim floating about I want it. And I'll even pay you for it.

Looking into upgrading the suspendery parts too, so it feels less waterbedish.

Some crash bungs to make soon I think. Cause no doubt I'll bin it. No doubt at all.

Unless you are going to run it in posties (only valid if it is a particularly old one anyway)...

Just graft a whole modern 600 front end onto it.
Relativity cheap to get the bits off eBay or whatever, relatively easy engineering and probably quite easy to get certified for road use if such things worry you.
