How are you guys finding the specs for BF3? My PC handles BFBC2 just fine, but a few mates have been upgrading to DX11 cards for the new BF3.

My gaming rig currently is an i7 870 watercooled, 8GB Corsair XM3 RAM aircooled, XFXGTX280XXX, 120GB SSD startup, 1.5TB WD Caviar Storage, all in a HAF922 case.

Runs fine on my mates Q6600 gtx270 4gb of ram

Runs even better on my i7 2600k gtx570 8gb ram ssd

It's where i got Bad Company 2 from but i don't really feel like downloading 10+ GB. And my PC probably can't run it.

What is your pc apparently it will run on some fairly old pcs (wow that is a good deal on the cd key)

I get around 50-55fps at 1080p with all the graphics turned up to the max, except with AA turned off with i7 2600K + 6970. Sometimes the frame rates drop a little lower than that, but they're always above 40.

My PC isn't bad on paper but it needs more RAM and a better HDD.

Also need a new case.

Actually they are all wants and not needs which is why i don't have them yet

RAM is cheap and if you sell your video card and get something like a 5850 you won't be too much out of pocket.

PC or PS3 ill have to up grade my PC, I prefer my PC for gaming over a gaming console PS3 I just can't get use to the controllers.

Troubled is my computer is not up to scratch, and I don't own a PS3, wonder weather to buy a PS3 or upgrade the PC.

If you buy a console then factor in the price for a mouse and keyboard as well since console controllers are great for racing games, but crap for shooting games.

BF3 is way better on a good gaming PC than on a console, but then again a good gaming computer is around 5X more expensive than an Xbox 360/PS3.

Thanks. I had a crash late last year that left me unable to ride without pain, so I gave up riding until recently when I started again. I decided to take break from KB for that reason (among others). I'm back on KB for the foreseeable future.
