No they removed it. It would have been stupid dangerous if they had left it in where they put it.

A great day thanks all. I was happy with my qualifying, but neither of the races quite went as well as I had hoped, although after my launch at the start of the sprint race I was just happy to keep the front on the ground

The wet GP wasn't as much fun as I had hoped. I took my 10min to get into the grove of the race and to figure out how much grip was available, for the later 20min I was starting to pick people off but really it was too late.

Big congrats to Buddha for picking up the main prize of the day, the Chocolate Fish, you are a lucky man another couple of laps and I would have had you.

Oh and I apologise for the small quantity of oil left in the track that I may have been responsible for

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

    What they said !!

Andrew you are a legend 3 in a row ..Has it been done before??

Was Not looking forward to the wet but I think I got a better result from it as I need much more power to keep up with you very fast Southerners
you were brilliant (most of you south of Auckland 'Wellington included) But I am happy with 7th with the quality of riders involved

.Great bunch of people who organised a well run meeting thanks fellas. (Glad the bales were moved)

Will is over the moon with his 2nd for the F5 at only 13yrs . He was amazed at his last lap being his fastest after he said he had eased off but that is thanks to F5 Dave's race training Brilliant cheers for that it kept him concentrated and he must have learned heaps from the better lines.
Bring on March next year !!

On the other hand, I’m obviously not happy with 16th place, because our goal was to do better than that. To tell the truth, we really could have done a little better today but last night we thought of a change to try this. The change worked quite well, so we found ourselves at a crossroads as to whether or not to blindly use it in the race. We tried it, and that may have been a mistake because the bike moved a lot on corner entry. It was sliding, and I didn’t have enough grip, so I was stuck for the whole race, unable to attack. Otherwise, I think I could have had a slightly better pace and perhaps battled with them."

Will upload photos later on, thanks for Grant taking them. Grant Captured Pedrosa crashing into Andrew, which was a enough of a hit to left the back wheel.

And he actually thanked me afterwards, what a nice mannered young man, a credit to your family. . . .'course I won't be saying that in a few years when he's kicking my arse, but that's kids for ya.

For those interested in a bit of history, this feat has been achieved before.
    Nigel Duff won the GP 3x in a row 2006, 2007 & 2008.
    Jimmy Steadman won 3x in a row 1990, 1991 & 1992.
Jimmy also won the GP 5 other times between 1982 & 2002. First & last wins 20 years apart!
Morley Shirriffs also won 3x but not consecutively.
    The most consecutive F4 wins was Paul Ramsey with 4x in a row 1986, 1987, 1988 & 1989.
Also Pete Sales won the F5 GP 7x in a row from 1984 to 1990
That's a pretty good target for Andrew!

I'm always interested in a bit of history!

I've been thinking of trying to get all the stuff like that you 'more experienced' racers know down on paper in the same place.
I may have to learn to put a few more commas in sentences though!

Sometime I'll hit you up for a bit of a brain picking.

I would like to thank Nigel and his crew for putting on the event and for sponsoring me. This time on a Bucket in ages; rusty and unfit. Only lasted 8 laps of the first practice and I had to stop!

Thanks to Rich for getting me there - he'll never do it again. As a NavMan I'm apparently either annoying or too slow. Nothing wrong with "In minus 50 metres - turn left" that I can see.

Sorry to those that had to dodge me every 3 laps or so, I'm blaming the short track, the tyres I insist on using (so I have an excuse), the weather and the 8hp (factory claimed) engine.

    Had a ball!

Well Dave is the oracle of all GP knowledge. Pen & pad in hand for details at every spare chance, although I understand some of the info was lost.

Maybe we should have a complete "roll of honor" for our past and present F4&F5 GP champions (maybe even photos??).
I'm sure that between Dave, Dave & Mike the list should be nearly complete for nearly the entire record.

No 26 fell off. Yep, made a mistake. But there's no need for No 1 to mouth off that he's wanker.
