I was lucky, sold house and bank let me keep some money after buying next one.so decided at 20yrs later to buy a 86 GSX750ES,she didn't want to ride, but after a few short trips we had to buy her gear lol. Then sold the house and she got sick of looking for a bike, she saw the bandit and begged me to ride it,so I did and bought it,was good 2 up bike, sadly job and working away Mon-Fri took it's toll on our relationship,so split up,then decided to trade bandit.Bike choice is my own.

    Bike?.........meh!

Now if I came home with a plane I might get the third degree. Her = "WTF do you want with a plane, you don't even have a licence?" Me = "Dunno, but none of the other neighbours have one on their front lawn."

Similar story here as well. The Mrs is very supportive of my addiction.

I just explain the positive aspects of why I should get a new bike and then she agrees and I buy it. Even if the 675 is not exactly pillion friendly.
She has once asked me why I bought a bike that is not pillion friendly, so i asked when was the last time she sat on the bike? She said that about 12 mnths ago, and i said, there you go.......
I've spent my money on bikes, booze and babes. The rest I've wasted....

I find a bike I like, I ask my father, I ask whatever girlfriend I have at the time, then I buy it anyway. You guys are so whipped.

My mum doesn't like me having motorbikes so I just buy one and show up home with it. She gets over it after a few days.

Something similar happened in our house many years ago, though there was no WTF, it was more like Here we go, here we go, here we go!

I tease Maha endlessly about his bike buying month, I will have to stop now as he broke the mould with the latest purchase.

We dont consult about whether we should, though we do a little bit. It is more about look what I found, I really want it, so I am going to buy it By then the excitement has become mutual and it is all over.

We are one of lifes lucky couples really, we share a passion, and have independant incomes. We may end up paying for our outrageous lifestyle one of these days, but hey, you only get one trip through this lifetime. I am here for a good time, not a long time.

We split the bills, I save my left over money & buy what I like. She spends hers on clothes & shoes. She does enjoy going on the bike though, but she had to buy her own gear (thems the rules!).
She did somehow manage to talk me into a spa pool though after I bought the Thunderbird.
