Not bad for an old man

Scary thought is that at 60 he can still put most of us to shame

Is it just me, or does modern gears look weird on a '80's ning ning?
I do think they need more pea-shooters out the back though. Nearly looks like a gatling gun haha

I'm starting to like how America overhypes things, and how other countries get excited about things too. Starting to get disappointed in the kiwi "understated" ways. Goes with our tall poppy genes Of course, there is a limit that the states steps over most of the time. But a little makes a refreshing change.

Speaking of which there is a new MotoGP movie comming out in the next few days/weeks called Fastest. As I recal McGregor narrated the Faster move so this must be the newer modern version of it. It's comming out at Hoyts soon.

Just found the link. 8,10,11 December only

I'm reading his book on Road racing techniques at the mo. It's a real eye opener. Things like having to go to the gym to be strong enough to counter steer the bikes.... FFS, going to the gym for counter steering.. gawd!

Brilliant, my all time favourite rider on my all time favourite bike. The rivalry between him and Mr Sheen took GP racing from a minority sport to prime time viewing in the UK, there have been faster and possibly better riders since but those were the golden years in my book.

I stood virtually alone amongst a sea of Barry Sheen fans cheering on the virtually unknown Kenny Roberts at the Trans Atlantic trophy races many many moons ago. I took some major piss taking from the Neanderthals that day but as the' King to be' delivered I had the last laugh giving the Sheen faithful the fingers as I ran for my life Happy days. Really enjoyed that, thanks for posting.

Also just found this. Check out how close and flambouyant racing was back then. This must be one of the most memorable race footage avaliable. Kenny vs Randy at Laguna Seca. Wheelies, Wheelies everywhere.

I liked Kel Carruthers "Well, he hasn't got any smarter as he's gotten older..." Great to take the piss out of KR.

That's where taller/larger riders have it over 60kg runts. "Longer levers" basically. They also have more weight on the end of those longer levers so they're able to counter steer a bike much easier. I find I end up changing my grip on the bars so that more arm ends up parallel to the inside bar and my elbow is way out the side of the bike so that I can counter steer it, basically making the lever longer.

I would say both are normal except for Rainey is in his wheelchair
