    eek What bike insurance company?

    Hello All,

Im looking to fully insure my Z1000. Just shipped the bike over from the uk.

Need to get it sorted before i go to the Burt munro weekend.

Can you recommend a good competitive company please guys ?

Is there a general company that most go to ?

    Thanks all.
If it's got tits or tyres... It's gonna be trouble..

I am 43 years old and ride a Suzuki SV1000S. I am insured with Classic Cover (underwritten by Vero). My premiums for $7500 full cover were $308 per year. In july I was hit by a car resulting in my bike being written off. They payed out for my bike, helmet and gear (minus $300 excess) within 10 days. I bpurchased another bike exactly the same and got full coverage instantly with a $38 increase in premium due to previous claim. Highly recommend this company to all older riders.

Wow, $308 for full insurance per year sounds too good to be true! Are there any restrictions on that policy ( i.e. must be garaged over night ) ?

When I got a quote from them:
    * It had to be garaged
    * No cover, at all, if I went somewhere overnight and left the bike parked outside.
    * No options for cover while training on the track

    Thumbs up

Ok, i went with Kiwibike, $360ish fully comp.
They asked if it was garaged at night, to which it is, im sure it doesn't matter where you leave it when your away, thats the ideas of insurance right..
Ive an oversea's licence which they said made no difference to the price. Also my after market exhaust which were under $1500 made no difference either.

    Thanks again guys..
