    Yep, iced up in a&e waiting for the fracture expert to plaster me up. At this stage it looks like no surgery required but there is a break.

    just hit the wrong step or rock the wrong way. Only doing about 30 but my foot got twisted under the bike.

    Get a Moon Boot. Brake or gear lever foot? (sorry meant break !)

    orrr mate that sounds nasty! Good news you don't need surgery though least you'll have some spare time to troll the net for cool ADV vids get better soon!

    Sorry to hear that Eddie.

    I broke my gear lever ankle years ago (playing rugby). In a cast for 10 weeks. I was gong nuts, so rigged a piece of string from the gear lever, across the tank, to the right side of the handle bar. Stomp lever to change down, pull string with throttle hand to change up. Worked great....until I had to put my left foot down on uneven ground.

    Get them to plaster a footpeg sized notch in your cast then fit a rubber bung in it so you can walk. Remove when you want to ride and hang it over the peg. Use the hand brake and you"re in!
