There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

    Fri & sat accomodation

    Hi Buggs,

A room for the friday / saturday night would be good, but I've no issues with the default option if this isn't possible. Just let me know & I'll come prepared

    Cheers, Steve

    Announce Update

OK, I have had to make the call so I have requested new accommodation for us all at the prices I stated earlier. This was based on the feedback I got from 8 of us with a preference for having a bed and being happy at the cost. We will still have to be prepared for roughing it till I get confirmation back - hopefully I will find out today or tomorrow.

Those who haven't PM'd me your mobile number it would be real helpful if you could do so.

    Cheers, Buggs

I rang you as soon as you left a message Matt. I am happy with roughing it. Will this be a problem or does one have to pay and ALL pay? Ta.

Oh, and just to assist with the pre-ride salivation...

Here's a birds eye of the main part of Saturday's ride.

A few waypoint's we'll pick our way between...a couple of others not shown... I'll do up a garmin file so ya's can upload the waypoints or something. The intent is that we'll do a bit of XC navigation between waypoints on whatever tracks we can find, rather than following a defined route / track file. I'll have a crack tonight at doing WPts for the whole ride...start using these GPS's for what they're made for - complimenting navigational ability!

We'll see how it pans out overnight. The thing was I just had to apply by the end of the day. My preference would be for us all to be in a single location if we are staying in camp.

    Announce Accommodation locked in

OK, this might be problematic for those on a tight budget, so my apologies there but the group consensus was to get the beds if we were able to.

So, We are now booked into the same barracks we were in last year for those of us...(anyone...?) who were there. I think we'll all appreciate a bed after Saturday's efforts. I will pm my account details or you can pay cash up to me up there, whichever works. Hopefully you'll all come to the party - its a ~$600 bill for the group.

$55 for the Fri and Sat nighters, or $32 for the Sat night only dudes.

Again, real sorry for the late notice of this cost - I should have suspected free digs were too good to be true...

Jeff - booked you in for Fri & Sat.

All: Those who asked for Fri and Sat have got it, those who wanted just one night have got it.

    Cheers, Buggs
