Absolutely immaculate, I couldn't see one imperfection on it. amazing.
    Beautiful restoration.

Some tiny stone chips in a fork leg and the rear rim spoke holes are slightly too big for the nipples.

Otherwise it looks better than if it was just wheeled in to the showroom brand new.

Shed 5 in Auckland has a Metisse, TR6 trumpy and assortment of other bikes. Nice cafe if you are that way inclined.

Don't ask me to describe where it is - Bro in law took us.

A mate of mine picked up an absolutely mint It200 a few years ago.
As we were driving up to Kimmy's Farm for a ride I was raving on about it - "...It200N, wow I had one just like it, road it in the National 3 Day...fantastic bike...blah blah.." Stevie said "...if ya shut the fuck up, I'll give ya a ride on it!"

I did half a lap and brought it back. I told him it was just as I remembered except the suspension was shit and it had no power....it was horrible...

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be...

The world's first steerable two-wheeler, the 'Laufsmachine' (or 'Draisine' in France), with a small steam engine and a small army of stokers and fuel-carriers following behind. Year: 1818

    Or this one:

    'Paradise Lost'

'In Memoriam', "for those who gave everything..."

to muse on the era before Health and Safety concerns regulated ambitions and passions. When an entire nation would sit as ghosts on the shoulders of a young man breaking speed records for England (or...), then laud his return, thronging the streets of London (or...) by the hundreds of thousands. When it was possible to be a hero for doing something which had never been done, and which might have cost his life.
