Porika Track Status and Orari Gorge

We're thinking of heading south after Xmas and were wondering on the status of the Porika Track. I remember earlier in the year a section had slipped away. Has it been repaired. ?
Also, I have a 4wd mag that shows a track through Private stations and crosses the Orari River. Does anyone know of this ? Or any other cool places to go.
    Cheers Phil

We went thru the Porika last month and it is signposted as an unmaintained road. Moderately rough and a ste...ep drop down to Lake Rotoroa but definitely worth riding both directions.
