Bogan whipped up these awesome caliper brackets, they look hot. I'm going to polish them up,
These allow me to run the 600 brakes with the ZXR400 forks. I also pulled my spare calipers apart and found they had fairly new HH pads, what a score!

This is the new daily driver/hack. Great on gas. Horrible little car, the most uninspiring thing in the world. Click image for larger version.

I have now got a coolant reservoir

    2 pound Italian artillery shell

Battery is no longer in the tail, will be here-ish in a box with the majority of the loom

Should have the tank ready for paint soon thanks to Bogan throwing my some more filler.

Might be able to find one, collectors are always snapping them up, but this one was polished so no-one wanted it. TradeMe may have them?

Long time no update. (No progress worth mentioning...)
The engine's coming out again, probably tomorrow.
It's going to be painted black with nice bare alloy covers, unless someone has a better idea.

I polished the rearsets, gear lever and rear brake lever for shits and giggles.

ID:	252266 Will be painting the un-polished bits silver.

Have tidied up the thermostat housing, just painted silver as it was fuck ugly... I forgot to take pics.
Will order one of these soon: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370414048828?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_855wt_1296
You know that's going to be pretty cool

Am thinking about polishing the lips on the rims.
As usual, much tea, coffee and tobacco went in to fuck all progress and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I'm hoping to make more progress from now, my brain sort of fell out and turned gay for a while, but I seem to have fixed it.

Next big step is the subframe, this will be interesting and hopefully very light (I may or may not have been bitten by the weight bug now...)

    Has been a bit slow...
Dropped the engine back out today for paint/subframe. Let's hope I can fit my frame etc in the Corolla to get a new subframe made

ID:	252359 Sexy timing cover much?

Clutch cover is next and the rocker cover after that. Many, many more hours.
I've run out of autosol, so the timing cover isn't as shiny as I want it.

Valve cover isn't done, there's nothing on TV so I might finish it tonight. You might be able to see, there is a hell of a lot of corrosion on it, the spare one is better, but I like a challenge.
I have a spare clutch cover (ZZR400K) so I threw that beside it for a comparison.Click image for larger version.

Engine looks awesome man, just wondering how you did the polishing? Just use fine sanding paper then a buffing wheel? Cheers
