There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
ha, yep certainly had someone on my side on Saturday. Now off to Mitre 10 Mega to find me some ABS tools to melt down...
Thanks to you too mate for helping out. Always a pleasure to have people experience a place like that, frustration, fatigue, excitement, ups and downs, all smashed into a single weekend!

I am glad you have spotted the majestic way these two go together; although horses used in the same context as KLRs usually involve
"the KLR has limitless horses" or "the abundance of horses on the KLR" or the other way (ie the similarities between the two) usually horses are referred to thoroughbreds - so apart from the semantics ......................carry on
sounds like a great weekend BTW
Great ride, thanks for organising the routes, accomodation, and us, Matt.![]()
Had some awesome fun up there at the top, prentending to be a Dakar ace!
Thanks as well to marks for leading us up a cool ride on friday, and Shane for the company, and getting a bit lost on the way home!
Can you tell I was enjoying it in the photo!
The next one that Bart took clearly shows a design fault in the DR650 - the suspension travel is at least 50mm longer than the ground clearance... Harsh landing!![]()
Just got home, only ended up clocking 1300km for the weekend but it is right up there on the fun per km scale thats for sure.
Rained for the last 50 odd km home which actually made a quite pleasant finale, bike's covered in mud now.
Thanks for sorting those photos for me Steve, saved me a lot of trouble
Here's from another angle
