Put the TT master cylinder and lever back on the TT.
Bled it and it took to the last drop of Dot4 to do...
SuperCheap Dot4 for cars is good value.
The bonus of the DR one was the same lever, pull and good mirrors on both bikes.
The upside of the TT lever is adjustability and the correct length so I don't have to castrate it.
Unfortunately I've managed to stuff the brake switch and can't for the life of me work out how to remove it...
Cool. Courier dropped off 2 packages this morning.
2 pair of DR footpegs in one and a chain alignment tool and bead buddy in 'tother.
Off to find out how much the snail adjusters are out...

It's the same alignmenterer as the Motion Pro one.

The sight wire is slightly bent on mine but it showed me that the DR adjusters are about right and it's the chain that's dodgy - tight links from new.
The bead buddy is smaller than in the pic...

It's almost an engineering sample of a bead buddy, just to show people.
The footpegs are soooo much betterer than stock.
Now I've got the same pegs on the DR and TT. NordieBro nicked my older big DR footpegs for his TT "you'll get them back when you've got me some of the really big ones".
He can keep them![]()
After having another go with the alignment tool, I got it to what it thought was good and measured swing arm front pivot to axle both sides and it's pretty spot on. The right snail cam is now 3 detents further out...
Tomorrows ride will tell. I'll be taking a 24mm spanner just in case...
The TT may be good although I'd need to get it outside in good light first.

Wow again! 3 notches on the DR! Thats more that alot - its Bloody miles!
Do you think the cush drive sprocket carrier might have something to do with the reading....?
I have checked wheel alignment, front to rear, with a long straight edge before and it was pretty close, but never checked the chain alignment though - maybe I should..... But then what if the chain alignment is out but the wheels are in, or vice versa? so many new things to worry about....
That chain alignment tool looks like a bloody good thing for you guys with chains. Fortunately the KLR has a shaft drive so no need for it.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........
If it was out there'd be a wobble in the sprocket when you spin the wheel.
The alloy locating pin may have some wear, the inner of the snail may have some wear, the detents may have some wear...
The "spare" snail off 'tother DR had even more slop and would have probably been about 4 notches out.
I'll measure up the swingarm pivot-axle distances more accurately soon though.
NMCC have never had a dyno. City Motorcycles do though.
