Mine's named Gina (pronounced as in Jeena, not as in va-Gina!). No clever reason, I was just riding it one day and thought of the name.

My wife calls the bike my mistress though, she thinks I love the bike more than her. Dunno where she gets that idea from.

no. Im not chickening out. I just dont want to bastardize how good it looks.

I thought of Black widow. Cause the bike is black with streaks of white. And if it moves quick enough can kill me. Might be a bit on the dark side though.

Yeah, I get that you don't wanna ruin the look. In all honesty your Hyosung looks pretty good for a learner type of bike. I got my stickers done by www.fastdecals.com and I'm sure there's plenty of other places you can get custom stickers made. Cheaper than going to a local signwriter, but this was a couple of years ago now....so who knows?

Those are always the most awkward conversations:
"Do you love your bike more than me?"
    "... >.> ... How was your day?"

The right name will come to you. But will it be original is the question....
My man (Mstrs) got his kb name because I reckoned he treated his first bike in many a long year, like a mistress. The upgrade bike is called "The Wanton Hussy"

Was gonna call the KDX " f#$%^&n green slappa" coz that's what the handlebars do all the time. Bit coarse though.

Answer truthfully and live with the consequences. My current bike has custom made sticker which reads: "If my wife would let me ride her as much as I ride my motorcycle I'd be home right now."

Or there's this one. When someone I've not met asks me what I'm into, I just answer honestly: "Trucks, bikes and sex. Not necessarily in that order." Leaves lots of room for interpretation....

When I first got my bike and was all enthusiastic about it, it was the VifFerraRi, because it sounded like some model of Ferrari or summat. Then it was the Cakemixer, because the constant fucking whining was getting on my nerves, but maybe that was a misnomer - maybe it should've been The Politician, or summat. After 18 months or so, I didn't notice any more, so it wewnt back to being The Bike.
But bike names are doofus. They have model designations. It's an RC46.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    "The Vixen"

So named because of the way it seduced me into buying it when I was quite happy riding its predecessor...

Here's a little quote from Smiffy, posted when I was thinking of buying this bike. Sums it up a treat...Smiffy should write for Mills and Boon, eh.

"42,600 happy Km's - until that strumpet of a gixxer came along and turned your head, stroked your ego and caused inappropriate erections. She is only after your money, you know. Oh sure it seemed harmless at first, the odd smile, a sly glance in her direction, a relaxed laugh at a little joke shared.

What of the tags? Oh those tags, didn't you and the SV have so much fun collecting tags together, the fine spring mornings, the warm summer nights and those long autumn afternoons together, just the two of you, taking happy memories.

But no, you want the curves, those long legs, you hear her voice in your dreams, that those not so smitten would most likely call a high pitched whine.

She glistens there with her painted face, it's all for show you know, once she has you hooked the spots and blemishes will appear...

Ooops sorry - need a tissue now, maybe I'll go take her for a ride myself - you know she's that kind of girl..."

GIJoe told me a few times that names just came to him. Which at first I thought was a bit odd.

Then I had an odd dream, where I saw a really pixellated cartoon version of my bike, kinda like an 8 bit motorbike.
I saw it, and in my dream state thought, oh of course that's Max, as is in Maxwell Smart (Get Smart).

So I woke up and realised with a mixture of amusion and depression that my bike now had a boy name. Unless I pretend it's short for Maxine, which also somehow fits.

Perhaps you haven't noticed yet that "a bit odd" is actually quite normal for GIJoe.

    David.

After David Bain. It has stripes, looks a little odd and backfires all over the place.
