And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Wow well it took a bit to get you to post once in the last year or so, ya been lurkin huh ? I can tell ya don't like random lol, he didn't actually say much more than most on this thread, so one can only assume (ass out of u and me), that you don't like what he posts elsewhere ? Perhaps it's because he's quite literate ?
It is unfortunate that you have left yourself wide open to be torn to shreds with your use of expletives !
But regardless How're ya mates ?
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
Bowls can wait !

WELCOME TO CHRISTCHURCH!
Ride safe over the holiday break everyone...and have a great x-mas & new year
When Life thows me a curve
...I lean into it!
Yikes,..there's some tough loving goin on in the forum!
Hi everyone nice to come back after a few days and see all the informed opinions of the expert riders across KB who more than likely live at home with their Mums and hide behind key boards... love to catch up with you all and have a hug!
I'm the old gay camera man who shot the thrown together vid of the day events and happy to say not my best work but got the result in the end and thanks so much for all the views.
I was there though arrived just after the boys went off!
Here are some of the facts from what I saw first hand and then followed up with a chat to the last rider down on the day.
1) There is a corner I didn't film it as the action at that time was all after the bend.
2) What you see in the video is after the right hander that drops into a small dip towards the slick patch of roading.
3) First rider down was a sport bike rider who had just purchased a new M90 cruiser (couple months on it) and from what I have been told tried to correct it once, twice by third time high sided and down the road he went with his wife. (they are both ok)
4) Second rider on a sport bike went to dodge first man down hit slick gone. Bike end over end down road. (he walked away ok)
5) Third rider in some way back went to dodge people and bikes went down too on same slick. (damaged wrist still in hospital in good spirits though) Side note speed was not a factor all riders were well under speed limit. Will concede 2 riders may have been close I can't confirm this. There were witness that gave statements to police regarding behavior and speed this was not a factor in the accident.
6) Time was 11am ish in the morning there where no pub stops an no drinking (only coffee and the gay camera man had Mocca)
7) This group of riders have completed about 110 group rides with cameras filming most of these group ride days (only two incidents of riders down during this time both on video and posted)
8) On the ride was a Gentleman from NZ Transport Agency... and the accident was report through his Head Office and the corner has been resealed and addressed today. (thanks for that nice work) To quote this Manager Of Transport we were all lucky on this day!
9) All riders down are on the way to great recovery bar one who will have Christmas in hospital.
10) Only months before hand a SPORT BIKE rider had come off on the same bend in the dry!! The locals plus that rider had tried to have the road addressed then.
11) The Police and the Rescue crew on the day where simply awesome and had been to this place on more than one occasion which has involved both cars and bikes.
12) This frail old camera man would love to meet any of the expert riders at the castle on a day that suits you so I can learn from your wisdom and vast knowledge on how to handle this type of road and bend with your feedback which would help me develop into a better rider and maybe one day be able to aspire to your standard of awesomeness.
13) Can't wait to see the flurry of response from all the mummies boys hiding behind their key boards?
14) Though not raining at the time of the off the road was wet and the road conditions slick...yet the burn factor for the day was 11 mins.
15) My opion the road was crappy hence it got addressed and more importantly got fixed.
16) Finally happy to take any music suggestion one may have for future videos I film where bikes go down that I may be on.
17) If there is aything constructive you would like me to reply to I will endeavour to do so.
Everyone be safe over Christmas I may pop back in the New Year and see if this thread can hit the 10,000 mark.
Last plug this was the EQ ride I shot earlier this year.

Don't sweat it Trojan. Most of us look at the comments in threads like this and think "good grief".
