    Quick squirt up north

Had a couple of days spare so headed out from south Auckland at 5.30 am after a quick check of the weather last Monday and had an enjoyable ride through to Wellsford for gas and brekky. Still had no idea where I was headed and let the bike cruise on northwards. Soon I was over the Brynderwyns, through Whangarei, Kawakawa and on up highway 10 past Kerikeri and Kaeo and through to Coopers beach where the fuel guage told me I needed to feed the machine again. Weather was brilliant so carried on through to Cape Reinga took some pics and back to Houhoura for a spot of lunch. Back to Kaitaia for the night at biker friendly Wayfarer Motel and dinner at the Beachcomber restaurant across the road. Next morning dawned a little misty and after fueling up headed through to Mangamuka and on south to Whangarei. Managed to get all the way back to Orewa to fuel up again and then back through Aucks and home. Awesome ride bike handled well and completed 941 kms on this trip. Hope to include some pics.

    Thumbs up

If you did that on the bikes in your profile, RESPECT!

Thanks for the replies. The C50 is a good all round machine especially for those of us that cant afford a Harley. Been over most of the country on this baby and find it ticks all the boxes. Just had a note from one of those state appointed revenue gathering camera thingys informing me i need to make a donation to the police fund for speeding through Awanui. Didnt even see it! Damn! Can fully understand that! If I had to sell this baby i'd be in mourning as well. I see you pretty well covered the whole country on yours too. The touring model is a brilliant set up. I previously had the M50 06 model and found it uncomfortable on long hikes and never regretted changing to C50, so much more comfy.

The most notorious speed trap in the North. Must be worth it's own weight in hundy bills by now. Beware the silver Mercedes van....
