This is the sort of behaviour I was referring to.
Unfortunately it is NOW the NORM, not the exception.

Meh...their dunger in the pic makes me suspect they weren't 'real' boy-racers, more likely they are brain-dead bozos who like doing skids...but don't want anybody else to record the joyful event...losers.

I thought the Nissan Cefiro was the obligatory bog-racer car?

That in itself wasn't a boy racer problem, but a hyped up bunch f cunts problem. Lock them up.

The behaviour from many of you on this site is nothing short of hypocritical. You judge (with malice) those who enjoy doing the odd skid (how many of you have never done a burnout in your life?), yet many of you own big sports bikes. Why would you ride a 1000cc sports bike with a noisy exhaust capable of going close to 300kmh on a public road if you never intend to speed? Many of you are just older boy racers who cruise around on done up bikes rather than modified cars. Why not just buy something like a GN250 or VTR250?

I can guarantee that most medium-big sports bike riders on here have done shit on their bikes that's a whole lot more dangerous than a little skid. Grow the fuck up and get over it.

Nah we all got married, and our wives have our balls in little bags.

We now fall into the following catagories:
    a) Harley owners who are bankers by day and bikers on sunday afternoons after we have had a nap and a cup of tea.
    b) Sportbike owners who own more coloured leather and crash aids than an Aerosmith concert.
    c) Guzzi / Triumph owners.......and we don't have time to ride. We think we are awesome and need to get ready for tonights swiggers meet.
    d) BMW owners.

So we are all safe when it comes to getting our bikes crushed. They would have to catch us on it first. And to do that we would have to be riding it and breaking the law. When was the last time someone did that on a motorbike?

Right i'm off now. Nurse is coming with my tea. Then I am going to chat to a chap about Triumphs. Then its nap time.

To an extent he's not wrong. There's about 2-wheels of separation between bikers & car enthusiasts, both sides have their "boy-racers", both sides have their "posers", both sides have their "oldies" or "classics" & both sides have their appreciators.
Bikers are just lucky we don't all get dumped in "boy-racer" category like car enthusiasts, but our standing is not alot better. We bitch & moan how cagers think we're all the same, all gang members, hoons, dangerous & should be banned, yet here the bikers are doing the same.

Not saying the people pointed out here don't deserve it the guy with the axe definitely does, but that doesn't mean they all do or they deserve the attention & inforcment they get.
Who here is looking forward to the inforcement coming up? the hounding on reg's, WOF's, speed, tyres, full check over for no good reason when your just out for a ride???
Well just as you sit here going "the boy-racers deserve it", guess what? the cages are saying the same thing "the bikers deserve it"

    Big call from a boy...

And you can't mean me of course - my bike is neither 'sports' nor capable of 300kph.

But to be clear: My comments were aimed more at these bozos actions in attacking the old dudes house.

In fact they make bozos look smart.

The big difference is that you don't see trains of up to 200 bikes cruising around residential streets, spinning up their tyres and making as much noise as possible after midnight. Nor do you see organised large groups of motorcyclists doing burnouts and drag racing on public roads just for the enjoyment of annoying other people.

Doing skids falls more into a breach of the peace type offence, and possibly wilful damage than a serious danger. How is this any worse than a group of drunk people walking down the street at 2am being rowdy perhaps smashing a glass bottle on the street? If someone is in a car with one foot on the brakes and the other foot on the throttle spinning the tyres, then it's hardly a serious offence. Who's going to get hurt or killed by a little skid? I live on a busy road in a residential area and someone does a small burnout down the road from me about once a month that I know of. It's hardly enough to start complaining.

I have seen large groups of motorcyclists on group rides on public roads where a few of them do dangerous shit which has a high risk of causing serious harm to themselves and others, all of which is far more dangerous than a little burnout. People often like to show off on group rides.

Also when riding to Akaroa I have on numerous occasions seen people riding sports bikes overtaking on blind corners and otherwise riding in a manner likely to cause danger to not only themselves, but other road users as well.

Funny how if a young male car driver does something a little silly, but not dangerous, a witch hunt often ensues, yet if a motorcyclist does something stupid then it's not viewed as being anywhere near as bad.

Because too often 'something silly' turns into 'something really stoopid and dangerous'.

And when somebody want to film this idiocy? - nek minnit their house gets chopped up by perpatrator of said idiocy.

Your judgement alone indicates you are one of the 'something silly' brigade....

I'm against people doing stupid shit on public roads that is likely to cause harm to other people. Eg, driving at 150kmh outside a primary school while kids are trying to cross the road, driving sideways and out of control through a roundabout during heavy traffic etc.

It's just that a small skid is not going to hurt anyone. During a burnout the vehicle is either stationary or moving at a slow speed. This is generally safer than overtaking a vehicle on the open road at 120kmh. The government has spent all this time and effort to turn car enthusiasts into criminals, while at the same time letting the real criminals off with comparatively minor punishments.
