Somehow - and this is pure speculation - I don't think the OP is referring to the Gentle Annie I know....??
Everyone knows that Annie and Meg were good time girls...they got around.
Roaring Meg is (or at least was) a ford on road into the Otaki Gorge too...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Not that i ever caught her name but she' is still as wet as she ever was, ahhhhh yes, some girls just get better with age !!!
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Roaring Meg is also a second label Pinot Noir from Mt Difficulty. It's wet as well...

Ah well, that's because the NW face of Mount Difficulty faces Roaring Meg which itself rises on the south end of the Pisa Range: bit cheeky of them given the creek isn't even on the mountain. Perusing my trusty Lands and Survey topographical map S133 I note they could have named the pinot Slapjack Saddle which has a certain je n'est ce quoi. Or not.

As youse were. My work is done. The BDOTGNZA rides again...

It's a bit too close to Cannons Creek for my liking, that's some scary shit right there.
