I did offer to share the award with Henk. He's such a trophy hog.

I was going to say that Henk deserves it on his own because he stuffed up his own weekend, whereas you just had a Maori tent for a night, but then realised, you had a Maori tent for a night and didn't stuff up the weekend, Henk has stuffed up his racing for a couple of months, but didn't stuff up the weekend (apart from a couple of hours sitting in the hospital), so yeah, you two need to share the award.

Hey, say thanks to your brother for doing a tip run, that was awesome. I noticed him walking away with the bins, but didn't register (I really do need to learn to sleep better when we're away, maybe just get drunker). Good to see you've come out of the closet though and realised that the "wife" doesn't exist except for in your imagination bwahahaha

Ah Yungatart, but in the van I would've had some punishment for you and you would've enjoyed it (I bought two bottles of Baillies on the way back from the hospital). Actually forgot about them until I was loading up at the end of the day (hmm, don't think I've unloaded properly as didn't come across them lol).

Now that would have been a great punishment, if I had in fact been out there waving a flag...in fact, I might have been tempted to wave a flag just to get punished, if I had known what you had in store for me

We had a great time, despite the wet....
My grandkids think you are all mad...no tent poles, roller blading in the dark and falling off and breaking bones..these apparently are not the actions of normal sensible adults (go figure). They had a great time too!

In that case I probably don't know any normal sensible adults, they sound scary anyway.

I know the track was grippy. I'm just over being suprised by stepping beyond the grip allowance when I start pushing harder. I will get there eventually.

you won't figure out the limit of grip until you step over it a couple of times. Having said that, average crashes in the wet per meeting on slicks and BT39s = 3, total number of crashes in the wet on what Malcolm calls poofter tyres = 0. Not hard to figure out that they work.

Henk, that arm looks painful. Great fun up to that point, no doubt. You would have done well in the races - especially with it being wet.

I must make it to Taumarunui next year. It is a beautiful spot and camping at the track is great fun . I will make a mental note to not try the rollerblades if I do (I survived Tokoroa - just lucky).

I hear you man. I've crashed so often on proddy tyres of various types, on various bikes in the wet that I'm over trying to ride fast and learn where the limit is. It's a great skill to have, I'm just not gonna crash again while learning it. So if I have to ride on slicks in the wet, I will be slow. I have never crashed in F3 or F2 on wets. They simplify matters so much and let me get on with enjoying the riding. I need some spare rims.
