PADDINGTON BEAR also comes from Peru, and as Chris would say, so very modest..............

GILLIAN: oh you are so right, why did I think Paddington was a POMMIE bear?????

ANSWER: because he arrives in England on the train???? with a note that says please look after this Bear and he comes from deepest darkest PERU LOL

Darryl and Chris through WP 1 - 7th and 9th respectively. Whoop whoop!

•@DakarMoto am sure chris will help where he can but remember he is a private rider paying for his bike so doesn't owe Coma lol!! Mon— 9 hours 16 min ago

First 7 riders at the half way mark of Dakar Stage 11 are all KTMs: Farres (Spain), Aubert, Despres, Zanol, Coma, Ullevalseter (Norway) and Viladoms (Spain) all within 3 minutes 27!

    ENDURO EXTREME MAGAZINE:
We've not being going overboard on Dakar because there's plenty of online content that's readily available – very little need to repeat it here. But it's worth sharing the latest YouTube video from the organisers. After the shock and debate over Despres and mud bog episode, this video really shows Dakar riding as you'd dream about. And how incredibly tight is it for the lead? 21-seconds! Despres and Coma must scarcely dare to blink...

Sole USA rider still left in the Dakar is privateer Ned Suesse on his KTM. With four stages left on the way to Lima, Peru, Ned is overrall 56th and is still fulfilling his dream to be there at the finish.

Ned is riding one hell of a smart race, (and not toooo slow either) I think he truly captures the true spirit of privateer efforts in the Dakar.
    Ned has completed stage 11.

    [IMG][/IMG]
KTM's Dakar rookie and Enduro factory rider Johnny Aubert is doing great on his KTM (series model) 450 Rally Replica. With a mission to learn, experience and have fun on his first Dakar Rally he is currently 16th overall.

    [IMG][/IMG]
Super ride today by KTM rookie Johnny Aubert who rides in the KTM enduro factory team. Johnny was fourth in today's stage - his best performance so far!

Graham jarvis at eddy's extreme round 2 tong

    ADVENTURE SPEC:
This video follows Graham Jarvis at the Tong Eddy's Extreme.

Lets not forget the other great performances from Adventure-Spec/Klim riders at this last round.

Craig Parkes won the veterans class after an intense battle with Mark Houson which was finally resolved on the last lap! Craig is now joint leader in the veterans class

Expert rider Luke Copestake had a good day out after missing the first round. Luke looked really strong all day and his third place in class was well deserved!

Chris Salt had another good day and toughed it out to take 5th in the veterans class. Chris now sits 3rd veteran in the championship with the final round to go

Another stage victory to ktm's despres: Retains overall dakar lead

    http://www.ktm.com/news-events/news/...akar-lead.html

Cyril Despres went into Stage 11 of the Dakar Rally on Thursday with the slimmest of overall margins just 21 seconds ahead of KTM factory teammate Marc Coma. At the end of the 534 km timed split section, Despres was first across the line and had extended his lead to 2 minutes 22 over his rival.

    From the horses mouth...
Unfortunately, our income from being full time factory riders doesn't quite cover all of our expenses, considering our lavish lifestyles. They were forced back into the daily rut of their 9 to 5 jobs as proctologists, fry cooks and lingerie models, forcing me to do the trails solo. Thank you for the kind words.

If I'm headed out the door to ride solo, I take the BigWheel. The surface area afforded by the ATV tires helps keep it on top of some terrain better but also creates some bizarre handling qualities. The true mission for the BWs is winter riding, where they can stay on top of crusty snow that a skinny-tired bike would break through.

    Regards,

    Mr. BigWheel
His other bike is an EXC300...
