ENDURO EXTREME MAGAZINE:
We've not being going overboard on Dakar because there's plenty of online content that's readily available – very little need to repeat it here. But it's worth sharing the latest YouTube video from the organisers. After the shock and debate over Despres and mud bog episode, this video really shows Dakar riding as you'd dream about. And how incredibly tight is it for the lead? 21-seconds! Despres and Coma must scarcely dare to blink...

Sole USA rider still left in the Dakar is privateer Ned Suesse on his KTM. With four stages left on the way to Lima, Peru, Ned is overrall 56th and is still fulfilling his dream to be there at the finish.
Ned is riding one hell of a smart race, (and not toooo slow either) I think he truly captures the true spirit of privateer efforts in the Dakar.
Ned has completed stage 11.

KTM's Dakar rookie and Enduro factory rider Johnny Aubert is doing great on his KTM (series model) 450 Rally Replica. With a mission to learn, experience and have fun on his first Dakar Rally he is currently 16th overall.

From the horses mouth...
His other bike is an EXC300...Unfortunately, our income from being full time factory riders doesn't quite cover all of our expenses, considering our lavish lifestyles. They were forced back into the daily rut of their 9 to 5 jobs as proctologists, fry cooks and lingerie models, forcing me to do the trails solo. Thank you for the kind words.
If I'm headed out the door to ride solo, I take the BigWheel. The surface area afforded by the ATV tires helps keep it on top of some terrain better but also creates some bizarre handling qualities. The true mission for the BWs is winter riding, where they can stay on top of crusty snow that a skinny-tired bike would break through.
Regards,
Mr. BigWheel
