One of the issues I have had with navigation devices, and their list of fuel stations, is that lots of stations get shut down and they don't update the lists quick enough.

You'll have to make sure someone goes through this list regularly to make sure the stations still exist.

You can use streetview on the website to see it, but not even Caltex lists the station, so I can't find phone numbers etc, and searches reveal the old hutt rd station in Alicetown...
I think you'll find it still exsists ( unless a very recent change), and that it is an unmanned station, not sure if it is fuel card only, or fuel card and eftpos/creditcard.

This is a secondary list, and yes, best effort. The best option, and what I use regularly, is the NZ Open GPS Mapset. All POI are maintained through zenbu, which is community driven, so anyone can help keep things up to date. Regularly (monthly or more frequently I think) the zenbu data is incorporated into the GPS project.

This is more for those that don't use GPS'.

    update

Shell Waiuku is still 24 hour but has moved to a new site on Kitchener road. They demolished the old Caltex there & replaced it with a Shell. The old shell site is now vacant .

Thanks, that's a reasonably important update. Have contact details remained the same? ie, old phone number still goes to Shell station?

Yup, very handy one indeed... noticed that it isn't labelled as 24hrs, so fixed that.

Thanks... both done. Updated file is in the first post. Some additional phone numbers have also been added.

Due to the age of the thread, I can no longer edit the first post, so when the next updates come through, the latest file will be added to the end of the thread.
