Hyosung has or had a relationship with Suzuki, so their bikes are either re-badged Suzukis or based on Suzukis, not Kawasakis.

The Sym is a beaut and Sym is a reliable well-known brand in Europe and Taiwan (and Aus I think). I wouldn't mind having one but the price tag's a bit steep to me...

haha, nope! He was all by himself.

Ok, when I followed him back to Auckland, he was doing 50kph up some hills... but that's another (very long) story.

My Dad had a 250 Bandit when he was getting back into biking, he is 6 foot 2 and about 100 kilos. When I wanted to learn to ride, we both jumped on the Bandit so i could hear the engine and gears etc and we still managed to go pretty fast with both of us on it.

I'm a walking Hyosung advert. Done 24,000 km in 20 months on my GV250, and just replaced her with a Suzuki Boulevard M50. The mechanicals of the GV250 (and GT250N and R) are very similar to the Suzuki intruder 250. If top speed is a problem, I believe you can change the rear sprocket for one a couple of cogs less - you'll get a higher top speed but lose a little on pick up.

Now, if you want a second hand Hyosung GV250, go to TradeMe and search for GV250 and Gloria. Come down to Tauranga to have a look at her, and I'll deliver her to Auckland for you.

also known as "speeding certificates" on GNs...

I could just imagine the Police pulling one over... "Congratulations! You win the prize! (Now pay me $230.)"

    If you like the Ninja?
another bike I would reccomend sitting on is a ZZR250.. its basicaly the same engine. The little zizzers look identical to the big un's (1100). Im 5'10" and 105kg I can fit on the little Zed quite comfortably.

Hyosong for sure. I'm 6'2 and 100 odd kilo and I've managed on a VTR250. It has a smaller frame than a hyosong, but more hp and lower weight to make up for mine

Also regularly pillioned the gf who is 5'10 (and she wont tell me her weight) and it handled that. (It wasnt impressed though)

Edit: Just had a look on trademe... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-439689555.htm (I do not work for Colemans nor have I ever bought a bike from em...) get your license and ask to try it out in a car park or something.
