    Crown Range road WARNING

A heads-up to those heading through Central Otago ... in particular the Crown Range road. No less than five sets of road-works are currently in place. Two of which are each at least, a kilometer long. One about a hundred metres long ... and a few shorter ones ...

Mostly on the Cadrona side ... but one near the top on the Queenstown side.

ALL have a loose surface ... with the depth of the loose stuff varying ...

At this time of year ... traffic over this road is quite heavy (understatement)

Throughout Central Otago ... tar-sealing gangs are busy. Take care.

The Kawerau gorge is great ... but I will do ...

Cemetary road in Hawea is now SEALED it's entire length. So there is only 50 metres of 50 km/hr zone at the river end of Hawea ... should you want to bypass the Hawea main street ...

The current road-works should be well finished an swept by that time. The rest of "the hill" seems in pretty good shape.

I will try and give an update on all the southern roads about that time too ...
