    Dinner plate sized flatish boulders covered in algae. Big enough to throw you off line and slippery as. If not slippery you could bounce your way through OK but even the riders on lighter bikes with lots of trail riding experience slid around on them. At least it was only about half as deep as last year.

    I was fine except I stalled it part way thru. Next time I would fit the 15t front sprocket I think.

    Yea its oddly tricky, and one problem is, is that there is a similar looking creek not too much before it that is easy to cross. I got way off line and ended up heading up stream a ways before getting on line again.
    I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

    Mrs B is laughing because she fair whizzed through it last year when it was quite a bit deeper. I didn't come off, but I did stall and got bogged. Thanks to the friendly fellows who were drying out the DR in TA's video, and who came to my assistance.

    Thumbs up Couple pics

    1. Taz drying out the 640 after an early morning dip...... She was blowing vapour for quite a while after as it sucked the remaning water from the filter.
    2. Another Awakino river crossing, luckly a rider in front showed us where not to go! Was quite deep on the left of pic.
    3. me, dusty butt
    4. Taz about to hit the soft sand on this crossing
    5. And to top it off a puncture, nice views tho....

    We hit that one about 5:45pm and mini shrek attempted to go straight through the hole on his XRL250...

    Probably more likely the water in the muffler and header evapourating
