Right, talking with the GPS MAN yesterday, and reasonable tyres might be the go. No bald tyre challenge this year. Anything with a bit of nob should be fine, but if running trailwings etc, you may have to skip the interesting bits.
GPS MAN has sorted out some real interesting stuff for Saturday afternoon. Thanks man. This should be good.![]()
The stars haven't aligned wth my ducks in a row so i won't be thereSounds like a good ride too.

We've had a hell of a lot more rain than sun. What summer?
You'll be right. Any difficult sections are easily bypassed, but you should be able to do 90% of the Saturday and all of Sunday. The only issues will be the Makairo (which I've been through on road tyres in the wet), Bart farm (any hint of rain and we'll miss this anyway), and whatever surprise GPSMAN has for us late Sat afternoon.
The Akitio station track is better then most gravel roads (a little care may be needed through the forestry section if wet), but gives awesome views along the coast, and means we don't have to go miles inland to loop around to Herbertville.
