I reckon the proposed? burgundy will look pretty fantastic. Get some metal flecks in there for good measure.

For your light, just rip a lampshade off the wall, and cut it down a bit! (might be a bit dim on 12V instead of 240, but meh) Or get one of those pixar ones with the bends stands, can point it where you're going while doing massive 12 oclock wheelies in the dark, safe!

That'd come out the plug when I flip it, and if it's night time I won't be able to find.

Most excellent plan, I'll have to film it this time though.

    Thanks Zedder

Busted out the stupid little palm sander today, somewhat nicer than sanding everything by hand.

I hate sanding and all the work done on the bike has been by hand

Found where to mount my somewhat cafe-racer-ish speedo after a bit of playing around during a smoke in the garage.
    Shit pics as usual.

Temp gauge and volt meter will be mounted on the top triple, will make up a cover that they'll sit under.

    Thumbs up

You, Sir, are an inspiration and this takes me back to when... but enough of the past. This thread should be obligatory reading for anyone considering modifying their ride!

May the bridges I burn light the way.

    Thanks

Both my new digital toy things have already been shipped, so I hope to see 'em within a month.
The headlight hunt is still on, I'll keep trying to work out how to mount one of those sealed beams I have as I love how they look.

I'm trying to figure a way of making my tank/tail in to a one piece unit.
Was a strange thought whilst looking at my top clamp this afternoon (cup of tea/smoke time)

It's too damn cold to do anything to the bike today though. Except look and think of more stupid things to do to it and make this build thread even longer...
