So I've arrived in Auckland, Mr methane birds came and picked me up from humble Hamilton, sitting at his place now talking bikes and drinking beers. My don't feels pretty good just now, so I'm hoping to get at least a couple of laps in over the weekend! Can't wait for it to start!!!

Oh, and it's bloody cold up here! Someone needs to have a quiet word with the man upstairs about that, I think... :-)

Well the weather kicked in here at 12.58am with a bit of a hiss and a roar. Not much rain but big blustery winds. This morning we have clear skies, blue with fluffy clouds if you please and blustery winds. It will be the wind that mean the event is postponed. Any one awake to give me an update of Aucklands winds? There is nothing in the paper.

well I live about 5 minutes from the venue and it looks like a gorgeous day - I will bring sunblock. we had heavy winds at 2 am but not much rain more of a fizzer than a bomb.

Weather bomb my arse.

I was kind of hoping for a massive storm last night, thunder, hail, lighting, the full wrath of the gods descending on us mortals. But no. All I got was a bit of rain.

On a side note looking like a decent day for a spot of exercise, sky 70% covered in clouds of varying shades out west
