    Another fee in our rego

and I blame you lot that dont wear proper riding gear and or ride like wankers.

Ok so my rego just arived and this might be old news and Im just a bit slow... attached is a brocher about MOTO NZ Motorcyclists Own The Options... yip $30 from our rego going to "finding ways to reduce our on road injury toll.

Ill tell ya how and I wont sting ya 30 bucks... reduced cc/hp for learners, better riding gear to be worn and compulsary, better and cheaper AND compulsary training, less shit house riding, straighten and flaten out NZ, proabition, remove all cages and we ride in one direction only (fuck knows what we do when we run out a road... OR, we could all just stay at home.

Shit sakes are they going to do the same with car regos, boats, trucks... why are we to blame? why pick on bikes?
and ya know what... no one will listen, but alas it is a good idea just that those of us that have never claimed on ACC shouldent have to pay for you lot that fuck up.
    cheers DD

The two quotes contradict each other. It is the people who fuck up who cost ACC, how they ride and what they wear has nothing to do with it, unless they fuck up.

Personally I blame those people who ride so irregularly that they have completely missed the rego increase that happened more than two years ago.

Of course you do relise I was taking the piss big time aye... but while ya there, ya wrong incorect dress and how they ride has ALL to do with it if someone else fucks up ie a cager.

Hope ya not refering to me as a irregular rider, cos I put most to shame... and I was well awear of the price hike in ACC to our regos back then... just knew nout about MOTO NZ and there $30 fee.

Pretty big "if" because it has nothing to do with it unless someone fucks up and it's just as likely to be the motorcyclist as the car driver

Everyone always wanks on about the "correct gear" but it seems no one can provide any evidence to support the theory that these people cost us more

Do you REALLY need a study to convince you that wearing a Tshirt and jandles is going to fuck you up more than if you wearing sensible clothing as you slide down the road after an off?

Just an idea - you could always avoid the off.

I ride dirt, if you don't come off now and then you're just not pushing hard enough

maybe ya not quite with me here... so if a rider in shorts and T crashes at the same speed as a rider in leather OR cordura you dont think one will require more ACC treatment than the other?

a piss take KM? you could avoid a last minute U turner or a stop sign runner at 100kph?

Its interesting that the graph in the blurb shows the highest claim in ACC to be intersection, but only by 6% over the next at 31% being "loss of control, running off road" that tells me a lot of riders ride outside there capabilitys.

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
