love to ride the v4 tuono as ive had 3 mk2 tuono's, pitty my local dealer is a Coooooock . and my self and 4 mate the ride aprilias won't deal with him. 2 of them are not aloud on his premises.![]()
So ventured to red baron Auckland yesterday. turns out they have a pitiful excuse for a demo bike in the AUTOMATIC 850 MANA. didnt even look at it.
Took their dorsoduro 1200 for a spin. suprisingly that thing has some massive torque. was power wheelying in 1st and 2nd from 4000 revs haha.
didnt drop it so got myself into the draw for that sweet helmet and actually didnt mind it. very tall for my liking but the power was fun.
Suspension was responsive and nicely squishy for Sachs. Leant it over a little bit with a little bit much throttle expecting the rear to step and it didnt.
Well played aprilia.
Still want the RSV4 though. Brembo's, Ohlins, Drool.

This is an awesome ploy. If they give someone an RSV4 helmet, the winner will probably feel stupid wearing that helmet and riding something that's not one and might buy one![]()
This competition is something that I (at Motorcycle Trader) thought of and arranged with the brand because I saw the helmets and thought I'm sure anyone who likes Aprilia wouldn't mind winning one of these. I needed a condition to win it and thought just ride one of their products - simple.
If you happen to win this helmet and think you'll feel stupid wearing it then I recommend you keep it in the box and be thankful you won something![]()

Oh hell. I'd be all over this if Red Baron accepted yellow licency type things too.
Te audire no possum. Musa sapientum fixa est in aure.
This is a great idea. I ride a Duc have Triumph Leathers so might as well have another brand helmet. Will see if the Rad has something I could try. I've often wondered bout prillas.
No body move... I dropped my brain
Well hopefully my entry has made it through.
I think the helmet looks awesome. I am in need of a new one so fingers crossed.
Hang on. Why are you attacking me when I was saying it was good marketing ("awesome ploy")?
1. People love free stuff.
2. You're getting people on Aprilias who might not ever consider test riding one and perhaps would get some sales, especially from the person who won the helmet.
