Yup,he will most likely either drop it,or kill himself, especially if he has never ridden a motorbike before.

    LMAO
Your mate obviously has no concept of the capabilities of a bike like that.
Do you know of anyone with a fast bike (any type) who can pillion him & give him a taste of what its about, like try & snap his head off in the 1st minute & than ask him if he seriously thinks he can deal with that much power.
He uses hair gel & wants a honda, hmmmmmm

He might panic and cause the rider to fall off.

After much consideration we have decided; it's not our problem.

Whether or not its a good bike to learn on isn't really the point here (well not in my opinion).

FFS! he has no licence and he thinks he is that F**king cool that he can just flout the law and ride around on a 1000cc motorbike?

I would be doing everything in my power to talk him out of getting on ANY motorbike.

    What a PLONKER. Seriously!

Put him on the back of your bike

Then take him for a blat ( or what equates to a blat on a Hyosung ) and try to put the shits into him. When you get home, ask him if he thinks he's ready to go 4 times faster, by himself, on something that will more than likeky get totalled when he comes up on a corner too fast and tries to brake too late. If he's really dumb enough to go and get this bike, there's not much anyone can do to stop him. Just another shore-boy too cool for school? Or does he thinl it will pull the hicks or something?

    What a great idea.

Why kill one when you could make it two?

Background: I went from a 250cc to a 650cc in 3 months. and then 750 and 900/1000 in a year or so. (with lots of optional training and road time)

Comment: steep learning curve. have learnt car driving from racing drivers and had a 400+hp car. so know the road. Rode every weekend with some of the more experience members from KB and learnt lots. Still I shat my pants when someone lent me their R1

Golden rule: The difference between a small and big bike is that a BIG bike will get you into trouble quicker. Much quicker.

If I was looking at this as an investment. I would pay 10k to buy your mate a 1000cc fireblade, in return I will have title to their life insurance at 200k. I think it will be a good investment.

As a biker: I would pray that he does not get a 600 or 1000 as their first bike. Saves me the funereal.
