    Everyone should settle.

Fact is a FEW cyclists like to ride like they own the road and abuse everyone else.If this leads to their downfall well they dont need told twice.

Big deal.If it upsets you dont post.I just treat cyclists like everything else on our roads.Dangerous and unpredictable.

Change the word cyclist to motorcyclist and that statement would be just as accurate
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."

Trolling or true? If true, what do you think is achieved by it, other than you get to indulge both your anger management issues and S&M predilection at the same time?

The stench of hypocrisy is strong in this one.

For someone who doesn't pay any levies for the road they sure do have a heightened sense of ownership.

This morning I was commuting to work, coming up to a red light wanting to turn left, 3 cars ahead of me all going straight and a cyclist in the cycle lane waiting at the front. I rode down the Cycle lane and waited behind the cyclist (Who also turned left). While waiting the lady on the bike turned around and yelled at me "This is a cycle lane you shouldn't be in it!".

Ignored the bitch went around the corner, into my lane and carried on past her.

Why would someone get angry at me for that when I didn't hold her up at all? There were no cyclists behind me that I held up, didn't impede any car or cycles lines.

I read a study from ACC for Cyclists paying levies. Turns out for the cost of claims vs number of ks traveled it would be about $14 a year. And it would cost ACC about that on compliance costs so in the long run its not worth it.

So your upset that somebody got upset about you riding illegally?

If I ride through a cycle lane with the clutch in (not motor driven) how am I any different by law from a cycle? I was in the lane for 3m before the lights. I've traveled longer in cycle lanes in my car crossing over the lane to turn down a side road (where there is a turn off road crossing over a cycle lane).

^Thats where I'm talking about driving in a cycle lane longer than I rode this morning.

Is it legal for you to be in that lane?
