Bad buzz. So no KTM tech has an idea as to why it's done what it has?

When i pulled my RMZ appart i thought, it was quite strange that the cam spun directly on the Alloy Head instead of being supported by a bearing, I thought it was quite cheap and rubbish. But It seems KTM do the same.
What's the reason for this?
Most modern 4 stroke singles just run the cam/s on a hardened surface it works for early sl/xl Honda singles and how many of those are still being ridden-heaps and they just use a oil strainer not a filter.
Have seen many a 4 stroke with a blown engine a few the conrod snapped smashing the cases, barrel, bending valves only salvageable were the gearbox and clutch, over $6g in parts. A mates RMZ450 010 blew its gearbox 2nd-5th $2g in parts from the states. Another mates CRF450 did its gearbox at 35 hrs he got it fixed sold it and got a YZ250 end of problems.
A MX bike will have a design life be it 200 or 300 hours same as your fridge/washing machine.
Are you fixing it or selling it off in parts? 2011 350sxf are going for around 8-9g so 4g in parts might not be worth it.
