sounds bought right be lucky to get ova 2g as it is real hard to sell bike in that condition as the buyer is only taking your word for it as to what went wrong etc etc (even though really you dont know.
seams rather odd looking at picks that the piston went as well as the cam be it only one side of it cause that means the other half of the cam was getting oil which tends say oil pump working ok but then the piston tends to say the oil squirter they have on to the barrel wasnt working comes back to oil pump not working properly.
Have you removed the squirter in crank to see if its clear?
was oil filter ok not falling apart?
whole thing tends to lead to oil blockages of some sort.

If you dont want to part out or try and sell as a whole an take the loss id keep an eye out on Ebay for the parts needed wont be long and they will start wrecking them in the US seams to only take a year for the new models to start turning up there.

i know another ktm350 that did something similer, he had destroyed the clutch and the clutch materials had blocked the oil pick up and caused the oil starvations, i have also seen dirt do this in rmz250's from a bike being drowned in muddy water then kept ridden after they pulled it out, the rmz's have a oil strainer in the bottom of the motor that should be removed and cleaned regualry,

diff looks like a oil starvation issue with the way the cam picked up, all the RMZ's and KXF's run the same set up with the cam running in the head, you have to be very carefull with the torque settings in there because it is very easy to over torque them

Scott correct me if i am wrong but wasn't the 350 recalled because of bearing problems in the gear box?

Did this bike ever have the gear box serviced because of the failure? or was it meant to be serviced/recalled but was missed and now the bearing parts have blocked oil ways?

Loving the honda with the sepperate gear box and end engine oil

Recalls (so far) are valve stem seals in the early bikes, handlebar clamps, gearbox bearings and fuel filter. Plus I got an upgraded '12 fuel pump due to mine dying, not covered by a recall.

So I guess I just wait for mine to grenade as well...
